Which would be end of '24-'25 (6th year) season if I calculated properly, and after a 1 year contract (seems unlikely)...which would give Kulich & Peterka 2 more seasons to further develop, and probably 1 year of AHL experience for Savoie.

All I'm saying is letting him walk as a UFA is bad asset mgmt, which should never be out of vogue. Get something for the asset that is leaving.

And all I’m saying is that starting next season and beyond, asset management should be a far away secondary concern to winning games.

If Mitts helps us win games over the next few years while guys develop and ends up walking in UFA when we’re comfortable with the younger players, so be it.

This urgency to trade him now is ridiculous
