lamar wants 500 mil guaranteed
if ravens owner does that he/she has to put all that money into an escrow account the second it happens
not many owners willing to fork over 1/2 a billion dollars like that - homiedclown
500 mil? I don't think you got that right. Thought I heard 200. |

For sure, and you pay for management's mistakes.
Other teams don't let this happen to franchise qbs.
They either know something other teams don't about lamar, or they played their hand completely wrong.
Lamar's a star. Irreplaceable....
I have a 0% chance of lamar going anywhere else. IMO. - Boss34
If another team gives him a fully guaranteed $500M contract you can add a 1 and and a 0 to the front of that 0% chance. |

Watson got $230M guaranteed, he's got to want more, especially after the Smith and Jones deals the last two days |

So Lamar is worth about 600M guaranteed now?
I thought you were being sarcastic. - QuinnFan
I saw 60 mil per
fully guaranteed
6-8 years
he turned down a five-year extension worth more than $250 million with $133 million guaranteed at signing last summer |

We don’t know that’s the case yet. And won’t know it next year unless they’re signing UFA forwards or making trades for forwards
No one can definitely say Kulich can step in and replace Mitts - sbroads24
? I'm not following.
You were talking about being ok with Mitts walking when he had UFA status, not next season. Which would be end of '24-'25 (6th year) season if I calculated properly, and after a 1 year contract (seems unlikely)...which would give Kulich & Peterka 2 more seasons to further develop, and probably 1 year of AHL experience for Savoie.
All I'm saying is letting him walk as a UFA is bad asset mgmt, which should never be out of vogue. Get something for the asset that is leaving.

If I knew then what I know now, I would've become a QB...poop pays. I wouldn't even have to be a very good one with those kinds of comps.
Is this just a product of the rumors the cap is about to rise a lot? These numbers just seem crazy to me, missing something. |

Coulda been a back-up QB and made 40+ mill in your career
Is there easier money on plant earth? (for a male of course) |

Next years lineup:
Skinner Tage Tuch
Mitts Cozens Quinn
JJ Krebs Olofsson
Greenway Jost Z-Train (I think the team brings him or Okposo back for a year) - Stripes77
Love this lineup.
Kulich first call up.
Savoie another year in jr’s.
Oslund another year in europe.
We can streak there kids out a little and really let them develop so when they come up they are year 5 Middlefat instead of year 2 middlefat.
Please god no more year 2 middlefats!

And all I’m saying is that starting next season and beyond, asset management should be a far away secondary concern to winning games.
If Mitts helps us win games over the next few years while guys develop and ends up walking in UFA when we’re comfortable with the younger players, so be it.
This urgency to trade him now is ridiculous |
