To be fair I think he tried to get a better goalie and was forced to plan B or maybe C. Same thing happened at the deadline. Greenway always smacked of plan B to me and Gerbe confirmed it today. Why is he struggling to bring established pieces through trades?

I think Greenway belongs on the 3rd or 4th line unless he starts scoring goals. Not sure I would call that a tank move, as he’s a legit NHL player. Stillman is….not good. I do agree that the sudden rash of day to day injuries does make it feel like they’re aware the playoffs are a vanishingly slim possibility and have begun to look forward.

Kisakov weighs a buck fifty and has 7 points this season with the Amerks.

I’m just sure as hell happy Campbell wasn’t plan A. Imagine that contract on the books the next several years.

Goalies have more variance than any other position in the league. There are maybe 6 or 7 goalies you can count on to be consistent year in and year out.

Comrie was a swing and a miss, try again this offseason.

Pretty obvious, classy organizations try and make sure they treat their hall of famers with respect. Trade them where they want to play.

Also, pretty obvious, the less classy organizations like buffalo try and find good spots for veteran players. Helps with any future free agents....
