Debrincat is a 0.85 PPG player. While he is a UFA for most of his next contract, I would want his number to come in under both Tkachuk and Stutzle. He could potentially get $9M+ if he hits the open market but Ottawa would absolutely have to walk away from that. - SensFan25
Agreed. The parties can structure a deal that both can accept. If he wants too much money or the combination of money and term do not work for the team, trade him. |

And don't look now, Sens have TWO blogs on the main blogroll lol. - Bartacus
An embarrassment of riches. Is this the true sign of the team' turn around?

Talbot out 3 week with LBI - Mithos
Oof. Our fate is in the hands of the rookies now. Fortunately when coaching's hand has been forced in the past, we've seen good things. Let's hope that trend continues. |

Hey, Sanderson, we love you so much. We love you We love you We love you We love you. We think you're already the best Dman on the team. As a matter of fact we've believed you to be the best Dman on the team way back in November. A future super star. We love you so much that this is what we're going to do for you - 5.5 x 3. It's hard to believe but it's true. You've made it! You've hit the big time. Not only will you be paid a whole 5.5 x 3 but you get to play on the same team as "THE CAT". Think about that. You'll be the envy of every star player in the league who are all begging their managers to get them signed in Ottawa so they can play with "THE CAT" just like Giroux did. - Whatisavailable
Maybe we get upset about things when there's something to be upset about, or provide rationale for our thoughts? He's got the fourth most points on the team, is playing very well for his current contract value, and his relative GPG since 2017 is right there with names like Tavares, Point, Aho, Tkachuk, Kreider, Barkov. Not exactly bad company. I am starting to think he ran over your dog or slapped your kid at Farm Boy. We get it - you're not a cat person, but you're negging the guy so much it's starting to feel like you have a crush on him. |

What kind of drugs are you guys on that you would mention him in the same breath as any of those guys plus a boatload more?
McDavid, watch out!!! "THE CAT" is coming for you next!

Longtime reader, rare poster here. I thoroughly enjoy reading these blogs and usual enjoyable discussions, but lately the majority of the comments have been people just female dogging about either the coach or a specific player. Everyone is entitled to their opinion fair, but no need to go on and on about it. I think we should focus more on the game and the aspects of it instead of complaining about players or trying to get in arguments because one does not agree with one's else opinion. - cprev7
A+
Post more.
You have probably noticed the building of some resentment towards Chabot. There are some folks who just need someone to blame. A bad guy to take all the blame for their disappointment.
A lot of it has to do with the influence of gambling. Fans develop resentments because they believe a player or coach has lost them money. Most of the gamblers tend to be huge blamers and whiners. Their comments tend to pattern a form of bitter, personal indignation over any and all failures of a team or individual player.

well said !!!
There's a lot of good posters here. I understand there is too must dogging about things.
I think if it's from a CONSTRUCTIVE criticism standpoint, that's the best way to go about that.

I see where Marc Methot is out to create a little Twitter storm by saying he would never deal Timmy Superstar for Auston Matthews. I would have thought this was an obvious response for almost everyone, even Leaf supporters. |

It would be a good game to have Chycrun, Sanderson and Chabot/Zub on three different pairings due to Seattle's depth. |

Sens have 9 offers, some approaching $1 billion. Seems like a good future. - lacaprup
This is turning out to be far better than anyone dreamed it could be. I assume they will narrow it down to a few final bidders before asking for final bids. The guys who get knocked out of the bidding will start to talk and that's when we will start to get some serious inside info.

Dal Crushed Buf 10-4 but NYI and PIT went to OT so both got 1 point and OTT now 6 points out of WC because of their huge screw up vs CHI |

Looking at the standings I think I may hate the loser point lol the OT games are killing us in the wild card race. |

OTT scored all 4 goals in that first period |

OTT seems to have completely given up in the second |

Crazy... haven't seen a 5-4 game that ugly in quite a while. It was rough losing the 3-0 lead on a series of junk goals, but huge credit to Giroux for stepping up in the 3rd period to score to get the game back to 4-4, and then helping to set up the GWG. They got a nice break on the game-winner, but it was a good play by DeBrincat to get the puck to the net with Pinto bearing down, and nice to see him get his 4th GWG of the season.
Sogaard battled pretty well to keep them in the game despite being outshot 25-15 in the 2nd/3rd. SEA has a really big and physical blue line... I really can't recall seeing them get outhit so badly (25-11), including 0 hits for Tkachuk in a game that felt like he should have been more of a factor. Fortunately, Giroux was a face-off monster, going 15/20 for another big performance. It could have been disastrous for them to blow a 3-0 lead after that fiasco in CHI... Giroux really stepped up as the veteran leader. |
