Resignation.

It's the point where people start falling out of the fanbase. Happened in Raleigh. After a few years of building up the fanbase the realization that the team was just chasing mediocrity every year started taking it's toll and people went from "angry" to "I really just don't care at all" and started falling off.

The die hards decided it was more fun to laugh at how poopty the organization was, but year after year there were less of them. New GM didn't fix it. Took a new owner (And, like, Brind'amour) with a new attitude to make people care again.

- BINGO!

hopefully this will serve as a wakeup call. i feel like there are people in the organization who thought they were bullet proof and that the fans would never turn.

there is such a feeling of.. it's not even malaise. i don't know what you call it. but it hangs over everything about this team and organization right now. you can feel it. you can hear it in the grumbling of the fans. it's really something to see after all the years of die hard flyers fandom around here.

The team has been competing and trying to make the playoffs for years. A few lesser years were to be expected at some point, but I guess it's the lack of direction or something?

Not been paying attention to the Flyers all that much in the last couple of years

hell, I haven't seen many Habs games this season either. Suck to lose on the regular and I for one don't care about the god damn draft in october-november. Its running everything for me.

the fans were always rabid because the team was always trying. they were always competitive and winning (without actually winning, you know, cups). i read an article that says on average they went to the final every 7 years of their existence. they just happen to have lost the last 6 trips to the final in a row!

now they see and can even feel that the organization has no direction. they aren't competitive, they don't seem like they will be any time soon. that was never the case before. if they weren't good before, the fans knew they were trying to fix it. now the fans would kill for moves like bringing in an aging tony amonte or stuff like that.

Engine side? Maybe?

Just like Tesla, building a car is not just the PU...you need to know how to build a chassis and the other thousands of parts.

By the way polestar is a subcompany of volvo and they use the frame of XC40 to build the polestar 2, so the chassis and other thousard parts come from decades of experience it's not a startup and volvo builds pretty much the safest cars around.

Fells like everybody would be just fine if the org came out and said "hey we're gonna tank now" and sold everything for peanuts. At least that's something.

Trading a bunch of picks for poopty, expensive players everybody knows are poopty and expensive and then apparently not being willing to bite the bullet to fix their own mistakes is just infuriating.

fletcher reminds me of hakstol.

they have the same empty stare that they gaze upon adversity with. no thoughts or remedies behind those lifeless eyes. just the empty stare.
