Last night's game Buffalo @ Islanders game: 32-9 hits.
Equally as stupid: it was a 3-2 game, and all three stars were from the Islanders. - Atomic Wedgie
The NHL really should required some training on this to provide clarity as well as do some periodic auditing. Do the 'stats counters' all work for the league or the actual teams?

I don't know how they do it now, but it used to be that they would pay a college kid $50 to do it.
You used to be able to go on the NHL.com stats page, and you could sort team hits by home and away (as well as takeaways and giveaways). The discrepancies were so painfully obvious, they quietly took it off their website.
Even now, go take a look:
https://www.nhl.com/stats...t=hits&page=0&pageSize=50
I find it hard to believe that Buffalo is that far behind all other teams in the hitting department. |

You can still sort of do it - but you have to extract two separate reports. You can filter by Home/Road games in the More Filters section.
The most biased arena in hockey is in Vegas, followed by Pittsburgh, Tampa, Washington and Colorado.
That's taking the average Hits, Blocks, Giveaways and Takeaways at home and on the road and then subtracting those values to determine the Home/Road bias for each stat and then ranking the bias values for each and coming up with an aggregate average.
The most biased for Hits is Pittsburgh; For Blocks it's Washington; for Giveaways it's Buffalo and for Takeaways it's Tampa. But hits is crazy - Pittsburgh tracks 13 more hits per game at home than on the road - and Tampa is 10 more.
Toronto has a home bias for tracking hits (6th highest bias), but Blocks and Giveaways are very low - in fact their blocks are better on the road. The Leafs also have a fairly high takeaway bias (6th).

Ah, thanks.
Weird - Buffalo is actually dead last at home and on the road. |

I was hesitant at first, but it beats smearing doodoo around like it's soft butter with a fragile piece of paper

If you prop your feet up to change the alignment of your chute, you can achieve a fuller, cleaner evacuation that reduces routine paperwork considerably. |

I watch a little bit of hgtv remodel stuff. When they come across a bidet it’s the first thing that has to go. Apparently they were a thing in the eighties in Ontario. |
