Anyways I am sure KD is going to find plenty of teams wanting to dump salary. Getting that extra $20 mil. and draft capital. I don't think he will need to sign a free agent if he doesn't want to. More Zaitsev/Mrazek deals are on the way.
With 16 teams projected to finish this season over the cap, and another five projected to have less than $1 million in cap space, we should see half the league with a carryover cap charge next season. |

I DON"T THINK HE IS "TELLING" HIS TEAMMATES ANYTHING.. Expects does not equal telling.
The Blackhawks’ Pride night is March 26 against the Vancouver Canucks, and Connor Murphy fully expects the entire team to wear the jerseys, as they have in the past. It’s not something that’s been discussed as a team, however.
“I don’t think we really had anything that we needed to talk about,” Murphy said. “I don’t think we have anyone, that I know of, that wouldn’t support that. I think it was surprising to see that stuff came up this year. We’ve been doing it for so many years, so it’s not like it’s a new subject.”

Bettman needs to improve the game, not worry about "special clubs". Shove that pride stuff up his a$$ ( although he is probably already doing that).

Kubalik? the guy who had his hot streak and had 26 points in his first 26 games, and since has 13 in 38? The guy who was healthy scratched, and plays 3rd/4th line minutes? Notice he didn't get moved by Stevie Y. like the other 4 he sold off on, probably because he is worth the same as last trade deadline - zero/zilch/nada.
Outside of the goal, do you (unless you were really watching because he was a Blackhawk) even know he was playing, outside of the passes he biffed and turnovers? - LAHawk
Getting Kubalik was a gift for Detroit. News flash: Yzerman didn't trade him because he wanted to keep him. He's got 39 points in 63 games so far this year. He's now on the top line for a reason. He's 27 so he's still got some good years left in him. Yzerman could have easily gotten some decent picks and/or player for him. I'm glad he wasn't moved at the deadline. |

Of course not, but if you are rebuilding then you should be accumulating as many picks as possible, he’s off to a good start. Now it’s up to their scouts to do their homework and turn quantity into quality. We will know in three to five years what kind of grade they receive. |

Sorry, but if Kubalik is on the Wings top line, then they have a long way to go. Kubalik would be a good third line player, but he needs to pick up his defensive game. |

I like Kubalik too. I like him as far away as being a Blackhawk as possible.

He's more of a middle six forward. And yes... they do have a ways to go yet. But Yzerman didn't have to give up any assets to sign him. So it was a win for Detroit to get him. He's only only got one year left on his contract so Yzerman can cut him loose if he wants next season. We trust in the Yzerplan. |

Interesting I thought he started on the third line, i thought Raymond and Fabbri until he got hurt were the right wingers on line 1 and 2.

He started the season red-hot on the top line. Bertuzzi was on the 2nd line for a while. Kubalik has been up and down the lineup. Since Bertuzzi is now gone Kubalik is back on the top line. Fabbri is constantly injured... and almost a non-factor for this team since he's lost so many games. He had to leave the game against Chicago due to injury... although he's listed as day-to-day right now. I will say Kubalik has a heck of a good shot / release. |

Kubalik is fine as a second line winger. His value to a team really depends on his linemates, if you have someone that can set him up, that shot of his will net goals. His "defensive" liabilities are over-rated. He was far from the worst defensive forward for the Hawks when he was here. |

That's true how about providing his coach with a $48 million dollar roster of players that is competing with playoff teams or fringe playoff teams in the last 4 games? |

Did you see the play, it was ugly how the player was on him and his knee buckled awkwardly under him. |

Yes I did and Ya boy was it ugly . Minny can't catch a break when I watch, other night scored in OT teams are leaving the ice and they call it Offside and they lose in a SO to Calgary
On that play I thought the Winnipeg player jump on him more then lost his balance . Looked like intent to injure to me .Ya but I may be a bit bise as I had him in my fantasy league . And playoffs start next week |

The future is indeed bright. I think this management team will be much more patient and take the proper time with our prospects. Let them grow and put them in a place to be successful. Something past management wasn't very good at. |

Hey hey
Kane scored the tieing goal tonight with one of the assists to Breadman on the Pp
Then in the shootout win the NYR won without using Kane They only had to use two shooters
Guhle return from injury. Only 39 go due to various injuries this season; his stats include avg 20.39 TOI, 2 -3 blocks and 2-3 hits/ game. He plays it tough. Has three goals. Skates well is mobile enough but he is more about first pass out and playing honest safe aggressive game defensively. To those who forgot or didn’t read previously this is the player Bowman wanted to draft instead of Reichel but Montreal snapped him up at #15 overall |
