“Chuck faced significant challenges during his time as president and general manager, including some that were outside of his control, but we have reached a point at which we must move in a different direction and look to the future under new leadership,” Scott said.
Injuries, Hextall, etc. When will Clarke do a radio stop to tell the True Hockey GM Stories of Chuck Fletcher? - StepfordSam
Clarke will never lambast his surrogate son in public. Hilarious that they took time to mention things happened out of his control. |

Good first step. Now lets see what the 2md step is goign forward.
As far as Briere, he will have zero impact the rest of the way. Not much for him to do. Just a comedy of errors this wasn't done weeks/months ago.
I have to guess that Roberts or someone got involved. Seeing all the embarrassment and what not that s happening. - furio16
Yup….eventually some of the higher up’s had seen enough and heard enough of the disdain the fans had for Fletchers job performance. |

This morning, we released Chuck Fletcher from his president and general manager responsibilities. We are grateful for his hard work and dedication to this organization, and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.” - corduroy

This team is so full of crap. We both know who the real GM is now, don't we? As Flyers fans, we are truly screwed.

So who gets hired as President of Hockey Operations will speak volumes on where the organization goes. With Briere named as interim, there is still hope of real organizational change. This is the first step that had to happen with Comcast unwilling to sale. So far, so good. |

Once again this franchise is reactive instead of pro-active. It was clear Fletcher should have been let go last offseason. They could have had Briere or someone else trying to set this team up correctly for the 2023 Draft. Now they are behind the 8 Ball trying to catch up. |

As far as Tulsky, no issue going in a differetn direciton at all.
What has he shown that he would make a competent GM? More to being a GM than analytics.
My preference would be Darche. Somehow get him involved in the organization. Funny thing is he is great friends with Briere. They talk all the time. |

Realistically this should of been done when Fletcher was hired, or more importantly not hired, which is really what put them behind even more.

I guess Flahr is ok, not really his fault Fletcher never gave him second round picks. I just want every bit of Fletcher's stench gone. |

It's funny how Waddell was complete (frank) up in Atlanta but the minute he started working with Tulsky the guy suddenly can't get a thing wrong.
Tulsky helped build out their hockey depts and robust player evaluation tools. Also helped on a lot of non-hockey fronts too. He's doing all the heavy lifting there. |

Depends…maybe Danny would make a great GM….can’t just can him because they wanted Fletcher to mentor him…although this team may be in need of a guy with a bit more experience and pedigree. |

Danny doesn't seem like the type to initiate any kind of housecleaning. The lifers are probably all gonna get to keep their wonderful jobs.

If he's only interim, maybe he doesn't actually have the power to make such changes. |
