Danny doesn't seem like the type to initiate any kind of housecleaning. The lifers are probably all gonna get to keep their wonderful jobs.

Briere is GM in name only. One guy won the power struggle and he is now the real GM of this team. Unless they bring in a power outsider for the President of Hockey ops position.

Fired as President and GM. Totally out.

Now, to get rid of the advisors...

- Rliable

Scott doesn’t have the brains or stones to do that.

Briere come on down. You’re the next straw man to take the heat while the country club sucks a clueless corporation dry!
- hereticpride

Was Fletcher really fired? When did the news get handed down?

Giroux is on track to break 1,000 points this season. Shame the former GM used the cap space that could have brought him back to Philly on Ristolainen.
- Feanor
What would have bringing him back to the Flyers accomplish?

If you are part of the they need to rebuild camp then why would you want him back?

This is encouraging. Let's see how this plays out.

Hopefully the house cleaning that is clearly needed.

Actually maybe that’s the way Comcast will want to be viewed with the next higher. A brazen new vision…god knows the old vision failed….maybe?

I hope but I'm not holding my breath. Tulsky's been my GM crush for years. Pronger Pres, Tusky GM... ProngaPlan 2023.

He's not just an analytics guy. He's been the Assistant General Manager in Raleigh for a couple years now and, prior to that, was the "VP of Strategy."

Virtually nothing happens in the Canes organization that doesn't come to him first. Don Waddell and Tom Dundon come up with the ideas and how to implement them, then they bring said ideas to Tulsky, Yorke and Brind'amour to decide if they're actually good/feasible.

Tulsky has talked a lot about understanding the numbers aren't and can't be the primary driver behind every decision you make. There has to be context for everything. WHY the numbers look the way they do is more important than what the numbers say. He's had influence over how the team itself plays, not just who is on the ice.

Strategy for team building has been either smack the easy single in front of you or swing for the fences. Nothing in the middle. Nothing clever. Those are the places you make mistakes that are killers.

- hereticpride

Sure I do. I have to see how it plays out. The Leafs were an awful run organization for a long time. At leat now they are relevant.

The only problem with him is he LOOKS exactly like what you would expect a dude with a PhD in Chemistry and two B.A's to look like.

Yeah, I'm with you there. That guy Hanrahan who was introduced as the 'capologist' at the STH town hall should be canned. If he's your capologist he should've been fired before Fletcher
- TobyFlenderson

Can we get Howie Roseman to be their capologist?

The President of Hockey Ops will be the tell. Any hope of true change is the hire must be before the GM and be an outsider. And yes I would include Pronger and even Timonen type hire as an outsider.

It's so refreshing compared to decades of shuffling the deck and aiming to just make the playoffs under Rutherford and Francis.
