First by Julia Reiner, EK, Seravalli and good old Panaccio was totally gone on this - THE EVIL WITHIN
Well my biggest concern is now dead. Under no circumstances did I want Fletcher to make our next first round section. I’m fine with giving Briere a shot because you could do no worse than Fletcher. However, Briere is widely known as a nice guy and Torts is a pain in the ass. |

I hope but I'm not holding my breath. Tulsky's been my GM crush for years. Pronger Pres, Tusky GM... ProngaPlan 2023. - Tomahawk Depending who is named President will clearly give some indication on what direction they go to hiring a new GM.
Will be curious if they have a President in place sooner (next 2 weeks) rather than later.

He's not just an analytics guy. He's been the Assistant General Manager in Raleigh for a couple years now and, prior to that, was the "VP of Strategy."
Virtually nothing happens in the Canes organization that doesn't come to him first. Don Waddell and Tom Dundon come up with the ideas and how to implement them, then they bring said ideas to Tulsky, Yorke and Brind'amour to decide if they're actually good/feasible.
Tulsky has talked a lot about understanding the numbers aren't and can't be the primary driver behind every decision you make. There has to be context for everything. WHY the numbers look the way they do is more important than what the numbers say. He's had influence over how the team itself plays, not just who is on the ice.
Strategy for team building has been either smack the easy single in front of you or swing for the fences. Nothing in the middle. Nothing clever. Those are the places you make mistakes that are killers. - BINGO!
Sold. Tulsky it is.
And then maybe he could eventually convince Brindy to come join him here.

It's so refreshing compared to decades of shuffling the deck and aiming to just make the playoffs under Rutherford and Francis. - BINGO!
At least they made the playoffs! Fletcher's strategy was just throwing a bunch of poop on the wall to see if it sticks. |

Can we get Howie Roseman to be their capologist? - Sublime55
Be great if Roseman can just GM both franchises. Bring in Hinkie as an advisor |

The only problem with him is he LOOKS exactly like what you would expect a dude with a PhD in Chemistry and two B.A's to look like. - BINGO!
The last guy looked like a Harvard grad who had everything given to because of the success of his dad….I don’t care as long as he can get this turned around I’d be on board. |

The silver lining to this cloud is that once Hexy is fired in Pittsburgh, they can hire Fletcher to finish the job of ruining that franchise!

From Charlie O’Connor:
“ Given the tenor of the fanbase and the state of the Flyers, a change at the top was basically inevitable. That said, it's wild that ownership let Fletcher run the trade deadline & sent him out to talk to season ticket holders last weekend only to fire him a week later.”
The ineptitude and incompetence of this organization is a sight to behold. This used to be a model organization…to see how far they’ve fallen is staggering. |

It seems that the booing at the STH meeting was the last nail in the coffin. When in reality it should have been the Risto extension. |

Wasn't he AGM there before, under Shero (lol)? It's kinda plausible. |

As much as I like Briere and think someday he will be a good GM, I don't think he is ready yet. I truly wish the Flyers would just bring in a guy from the Tampa organization, someone that has been deeply involved in their drafting and player development and someone that understands how a Championship organization needs to be run. To me, Stacey Roest is a good candidate to be the Flyers next GM. |

They never did make the playoffs. They'd just wind up with 82-88 points and the 12th overall pick for like 8 years in a row. |

fans were planning a rally to fire Fletcher, at the next home game. I guess they wanted him out before that? |
