That probably isn't a bad assessment as of now. I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but his physicality worries me going forward. Did you happen to see that faceoff he took at the end of the game against Staal? Staal just man handled off the puck to win that faceoff. He has to get stronger! - Phillywhiteout
Frost doesn't have a physical issue. He is surprisingly physical and competitive for a smaller player. He needs to get better at faceoffs but that should come in time with his skills. |

A pivot point is nearing for the organization. We'll see if it is status quo or more of the same. The senior advisors have to go. President of Hockey Operations will be a very important hire. - Trox88
I believe Fletcher keeps that position after he fires himself as the GM. If they do more than remove Fletcher as the GM I will be SHOCKED.

I think this is where you can use the analytics as a tool. His skill and vision are extremely high, the part that would have killed him would have been not knowing what to do when he didn’t have the puck….understandable considering in JR he always had the puck. Now he has to put it all together…he’s being given that opportunity this year and probably next as well. Physically he has gotten stronger, but ya I agree that’s a hurdle that all smaller young guys have to get over…Jack Hughes, Mitch Marner, Nugent-Hopkins to name a few….it takes time. |

While the Canes badly outplayed the Flyers tonight they also showed why they might not be the betting favorite to win the Cup. Not to take anything away from Sandstrom cause I thought he had a fabulous game, but Carolina lacks finishers. That's why they went out and got Patches, but he is hurt. Between goaltending and lack of finishers I wouldn't have the Canes as one of my Cup favorites. - Phillywhiteout
That was possibly the worst game I've seen them play all year long. The number of mistakes they made was infuriating. |

One game sample. Carolina is a top 10 scoring team in the NHL at 3.38 goals per game. - MJL
Yeah. Honestly they played terribly last night.
They also shoot a TON from the point, which is kind of what Torts wants teams to do against him I guess. |

When you have almost zero talent you better block some shots and defend.

The Flyers have a way of bringing other teams down to their level and still losing.

Canes beat guys are convinced that somebody is going to hire Tulsky away soon.

Fletcher fired. BRIERE Interim Gm |
|
|
|
So Briere replaces the inept clown. Couldn't have been done before the trade deadline though.
All the good ole boys still remain. This alone won't change a lot. |

I think some teams take some games for granted. Carolina played down to the Flyers last night. The Flyers have a chance against anyone if the other team allow the Flyers to out work them. |

BREAKING: The Flyers have decided to part ways with Chuck Fletcher. Danny Briere, former Flyer and current special assistant to the GM, will take over as interim general manager. |

Only saw the second period. Sandstrom looked very good. Best I have ever seen him play actually. Foerster looked good as well. Canes had the puck the whole second period it seemed. |
