Real Sports Apparel kinda' sucks.

Snowy day downtown in the office so nobody is here, I walked to Real Sports at SBA with my Retro Reverse jersey to get my name/# put on it so I could pick it up and wear it tomorrow.

They can't do "those jerseys" on site because they sold out and have none of the fuzzy letter/numbers. I asked to just do it with the normal flat number/letter kit because I don't care and after asking a manager it's a no because "those letters aren't designed for those jerseys" so you have to let us sent it out to get done and it'll be 2- 3 weeks.

Ya no that's not happening....bummer.

On a positive I love that you can get right to the SBA from Union station without going outside again. They also have a poop tonne of former leafs sticks for sale, all brand new - never even taped and the prices are decent. Goalie twigs were $250 and players sticks the same. I even saw a Josh Ho-Sang twig. lol

Where is that? I grabbed an $8 taco in union station in the 'food alley' - it was actually quite good! Union Chicken for dinner tomorrow, so good and perfect as we will get off a GO Train, stay warm and dry to get dinner and get to the game.....the snow and wet crap can Eff right off.

Like, I love me a grilled cheese as much as the next guy, but come on.

Far as I was concerned, the only food there that was actually worth the price was the spicy chicken sandwich.

Mostly because I'm impatient and am pissed off they don't do it in store & were not even wiling to use the other ones for me when I said I didn't care. They don't have a very great customer service experience at Real Sports Apparel from all the times I've dealt with them.

I'll find somewhere who can do it cheaper and probably faster.

Ah - my friend used to be the Assistant GM there actually, he loved it and hated it all at the same time. Got to meet lots of celebrities and players from the Raps, Leafs, TFC and WWE wrestlers etc. and even got a ring when TFC won the MLS cup.

I loved it because I could get a table whenever I wanted it.

He hated the way MLSE runs their F&B & also hated that he was downtown until 2am working way too often and then had to go all the way home to Bowmanville. He eventually left to go GM somewhere else.

All the famous people got the upstairs tables. And it was basically the only time the head chefs actually did anything. They were mostly wienerheads. Couldn't stand them.

When I worked there, me and the other people working in the dish-pit were routinely there until 3 or 4 in the morning, because the morning/early afternoon shift people were (frank)ing useless and left a literal mountain of poop to do.

Fair enough! I just figured you'd have a closet (or two) full of other Leafs jerseys to tide you over in the meantime.

Also if you're in a hurry in Union Station, Shanghai 360 in the food court can have your greasy chinese food in your hands in 5 seconds. Or at the end of the day they prepackage some combos and put them on sale.

I think at this point the Leafs are probably just going to rotate in and out players to keep them relatively NHL game ready. 🤷

Keefe will deploy what the series needs if there is an injury. It’s not pre set. It depends who Leafs are playing when injury happens, which player it is, how the series is playing out, etc.

Edit: forgot to mention I do like the depth Leafs have in that regard. Injuries are brutal and near impossible to truly replace but some decent players in Steeves, McMann, Holmberg, Simmonds - not too shabby
