Briere already said he doesn't envision a fire sale.
Keep that in mind as you let your imaginations wander lol - Tomahawk
Thought he said it well, actions we will see but players will be available. |

I think I would take the 4th and more so the cap space. - MBFlyerfan
I'd just keep Sanny around... what do they need the cap space for right now anyway?

Let him play through it, you can trade him layer if needed and if he bounces back he then might have some value |

Said before I only see two or three players traded this summer. That was before Danny took over. His comments seem along the same lines. - Peter Richards
I think the only guarantee is that Hayes gets bought out or gets moved in an ugly deal that sees the Flyers eat salary and/or take a bad contract in return. Torts is basically demanding that.
Provy and TK... maybe?
The Hart stuff I'm guessing is just media echo-chamber.
Contracts like Sanheim, Coots, Cam, Risto... even Farabee... good luck. |

My only concern. This is what the ghost convi was for years. And he made less. Couldn’t find a partner. Arizona did but his contract is up this summer. Sanhiem continues to struggle he will be unmovable without payment included. |

I was looking at one of Tk provie or Travis at the draft. Hayes maybe with salary retained. Not sure if they would go the buyout route yet. But with the contract and how he has played this year. Yeah. Sanhiem May be a hard sell. |

Many are assuming for some reason that he doesn't have value. |

This could play out really badly again for the Flyers. Similar to the JVR scenario.
Players that the Flyers are willing to move out won't have value (Hayes). Players that have value they refuse to move out.
Then what? |

Sanheim - entering prime so has age on his side, BUT he must improve
Cam - after they LTIR him next year he will only have one year left
Risto - good value for a 3rd pair but will need to eat half his cap hit which I have no problem with
Farabee - has age on his side, see SanHeim
Coots - that a real bad one. Unfortunately, he will be here for the duration and most likely never sniff a cup. He is a tweener - too old for the rebuild and too much term to trade. Best case scenario is he hones his skills as a mentor and gets into coaching |

Why is there discussion over keeping a 7th dman? There's like 50 of them as free agents every year. The leafs alone have like 4 this year you can sign in free agency for whatever. Here, I'll trade you 2 today for an 8th round pick in the 2040 draft.
The guys we should discuss are Hart, Provorov, Hayes, Samheim, TK, (ellis if he ever has a chance of coming back?)
Sanheim is the hard one with that NTC BUT the good news is his NTC doesn't kick in until July 1st so he can be moved at the draft without his input to where. Problem is, will he be good enough to get something? I suppose almost anything without retaining salary would be the way to go.
Anyway, I think Hart and Provorov get the most interest.

I would absolutely not give Sanheim away just to get out of the contract. Konecny would also be a player that would draw wide interest. |

Full NTC kicks in on July 1 - Tomahawk
Classic Flyers contract. In fac they should rename it from NTC/NMC to TFC (The Flyers Clause) |
|
|
|
Years 1-4 full NTC, years 5-8 he has a M-NTC with a 12 team no trade.
Ugh.
Edited to add: That doesn't mean he cant be traded. It just means he has full control on where he goes.
So again...
Ugh - MBFlyerfan
So does ND due to CF's incompetence. |
|
|
|
I see a lot of talk about trading sanheim next off season but doesn’t he have a NTC or NMC that kicks in this upcoming season?
- Bob Habib]
Seriously? CF gave him a a full ntc??? You gotta be kidding? - Robert's Plant

I think if we look around the league, it's pretty common. That doesn't change that although I like the player, I don't like the contract. The AAV is fine but what did the Flyers get in the negotiation? I think Sanheim is a good player but not a player that you bend over and give everything to. He got a strong AAV, max term and movement clauses. Where is the negotiation? |

Everybody keeps calling Chuck a nice guy and a gentleman for a reason. Those are just another way of saying he's a doormat.
Maybe the worst contract negotiator in the league... (frank)ed up that he was ever a player agent. |

TK also. I can't see any team wanting Sanheim for 8 years at that AAV with a NTC. I think the Flyers are completely stuck with him unless they cover some AAV and give up another asset for a team to take him.

Lots of questions I would love to ask Danny Briere but he would never answer.
What did you think of the Ristolainen trade and the subsequent re-signing?
What did you think about the Deslauriers signing?
What did you think about the Angelo trade and signing?
What did you think of the Sanheim contract? |

I personally think that Hart wears down mentally over a season. You can label that a fault if you'd like but I'd like to see what he can do with a better team. - MJL
I agree, losing year after year sucks and it wears on all the players, especially the goalie who is getting 30+ shots a game. After seeing Ullmark this year in Boston, I am convinced that if Hart played on a team like Boston he would be a Vezina candidate. |

recent comparable contract around are weegar and ekholm. both are better. his aav should be more in line with what risto is getting imo. but agree. giving all three benefits was bad for the future.

Wasn't Dave Scott supposed to address the media after arriving back from Pittsburgh? Or just Danny?
Does he still prefer a GM with an action bias? What timeframe is he referring to specifically when he mentions this is going to take time?
