I expect them to take the 1st on D. Wanted to see some 2nd's move. Didn't have Greenway in mind, still not sure on that one. - Lunaion
IMO any pick they take is going to be their BPA, not position based. Especially since these guys are going to be a year or two out. The offensive talent in the draft looks to be stronger up top where they will likely be drafting.
2nd round and beyond I expect a few defensive players taken, but it will still be based on their board more than just the position overall. |

Those 2 2nds and 3rd could be very important to building up the D core. With the Forward talent in the 1st round and where Buffalo could end up drafting. Reinbacher is my hope in the 1st, but he probably will be gone by then. |

Okposo, Girgensons, Hinnostroza, Olofsson are all likely candidates to move out within the next two seasons. Mitts is another one that is on the fence, although I like his game personally. Most of those guys aren't in the same role as you would want your 1st rounders playing, but that doesn't mean these guys come in and play in that type of game.
If 2 of the 5 first round picks from 2021, 2022, 2023 (excluding Power) are full time NHL players by the end of next season that's a great result. If 3+ are contributing by the season after that I am thrilled. - Zschalberg
This is a very good post .
I'm on the fence with mitts, I feel like the Sabres like him a lot. Big vibes guy IMO. Young affordable vet.
Would you consider a mid first round pick, playing 600+ nhl games for the team that drafted him a great result?
I am thrilled. ☝️

So the Sabres draft another goalie early? No levi?
I understand if Johnson bolts, that puts a little more pressure on having a top flight defenseman prospect.
BPA. That's the KA way. |

I've cut back substantially.
I'm mad at both okposo and girgensons.
10-4 at home. Most goals against since 2005.
That's a generational loss.
What are these guys doing? What use are they?
Hopefully they pulled the team back together for the last few games. 🤔

They will be 100% using their 1st this year. Not even a question imo. With how this draft is supposed to be for offensive talent they will not give them away. I would say that the 2nd is more likely to be traded but since they already did that for Greenway I expect them to use most of those picks as well. - Zschalberg
I agree they probably don’t trade it-
I honestly don’t care if they draft in the first round again for the next 4/5 years
If they believe Savoie and Kulich are top 9 players and they won’t trade them, this team has 3 solid lines for the foreseeable future
Go trade for a prime goalie and another impact defense |

That's a good point, kinda?
Wasnt he the #1 ranked goalie?
We definitely needed that pick, so I'll give you that.

I think Granato likes him and he seems to have awakened a part of his game. His speed and acceleration are noticeable at times. Next year is his make or break and as long as he stays healthy I think he plays a good game next season. Right now he's at 40 points in 66 games, .61P/G. If he can get up to .75 next season that's around 62 points. That's serviceable and would be good as a 3rd line player on this team.

Sign Levi and then you can make that trade. Without his name on the page you are at his whim.
They'll get another defender this offseason. Likely a free agent but could be a trade. They won't be going back with Bryson. I have no sources or anything but they can't be that dumb to go back with him. Right? |

Makes it worse is a player Luneau who was talked about a lot here was there and looks like he will be hitting the Ice next year.
Samuelsson Dahlin

"Snowflake" is used and misused almost as much as the word "woke" (woke is misused multiple times just in the last 2 pages of this blog), but snowflake perfectly describes a professional person who refuses to perform when their employer tells them to do something, simply because they "don't believe in it". Aww...poor widdle millionare won't wear a pink jersey for 20 minutes cuz his widdle feelings might be hurt by the big, bad gay people he disagrees with.
"Just do your job and keep the politics to yourself"...does that not sound like every right-winger when a Hollywood celebrity publicly supports or denounces a cause? Hockey is no different imo.
The NHL trying to get new fans by holding appreciation nights in no way counts as "shoving the gay agenda in my face", either (I can already predict this response from some posters, and it's laughable). Seeing a bunch of men in pink sweaters will not make anyone crave same-sex relations, unless one was already so-inclined. - LandlordTom
So, you’re using the “bad” behavior of “right wingers” towards Hollywood to justify your stance here? I don’t think any fans that may object, or a player who refuses to participate do so because they’re “afraid of being turned gay”. It’s either religious reasons or they just simply don’t agree with it. Or maybe they’re concerned about the effects on their children? Idk. Whatever their reason may be, they have every right to feel as they do. Just as you have that right to feel as you do.
Expecting people to have Tolerance, and to respect the choices of others without discrimination is one thing, asking them to actively take part in “glorifying” (for lack of better word) is quite another.
Everyone should just stfu up and get in line, right? If your morals are correct, you can be as fascist as you wanna be? |
