Just spoke with safety Jordan Poyer who said he verbally agreed to return to Bills 45 mins ago. Poyer checked out the market but felt his age (32 next month) limited his interest so deal wasn’t all he wanted.

But happy to be back w/ teammates & knows they can compete for title.

Benford seems more like a safety to me. Good instincts and tackling, isn’t fast for a corner.

We have depth at corner though with Benford, Jackson, Elam and White so I think we can cross of secondary at pick 27.

i get it, last chance to cash in where maybe the weather and taxes are more favorable, but you gotta think the bills offered familiarity, guaranteed playing time and similar net paychecks to other teams. Which there are clearly few.

I'm not low on Benford. I'm just not trusting him to play like Poyer next year. On a super bowl contender, that's not a chance the Bills should be taking, nor are they going to.

CB at 27 would be atrocious. I'll take a WR and OL for the first two picks.

No, and he’s an undersized SS. I think it’s a concern. With Hamlin up in the air I hope they get a 3rd guy back there or convert Benford
