Maybe that was part of the problem, "Q's guys" never gave him a chance. - LAHawk
Q's guys had forgotten more about what it takes to win in the NHL than JC ever knew. |

Or simply had age take their toll. Keith went from +22 in 16/17 to -29 in 17/18. |

Stalock starts tonight for the Blackhawks against the Predators.
Rest of the lineup the same as Tuesday. They’ll give Kaiser a few days to get acclimated.
Reese Johnson was held back in Chicago due to illness, not concussion, but is expected to join the trip eventually. - LAHawk
Dare to hope
Kaiser, Korchinski ready and playing regularly 2025
By 2025 DelMaestro
Big group ??? Includes Phillips, Roos, Allen, Crevier
Omit Galvas, Regula =‘probably. Mitchell yet to be determined.
Several others already drafted should possibly be signed but will need AHL development. The 2023 and 2024 draft choices may include dmen but they likely would not be NHL ready any time soon |

I get the issue with drafting a Russian. But from what i have watched and read i don't think it would be wise to pass on him. Especially a team like the Hawks that could wait a few years for him to arrive and fully produce. If we are indeed picking between 4-6 and seeings as we need all forward positions i would take a Centre and pick either Will Smith or after reading up more Zach Benson. Build from the middle out - SaskHawkFan
Ya I like the idea of taking a center .I am not one to shy away from Russian players but Michkov and his contract and the situation in Russia have me spooked .Your right the Hawks have time to be patient with him . |

Nice goal by Reichel, that was great |

Nah, most here were making fun of me about protecting the house, JC didn't understand the most important ice to protect was the one right in front of the goalie. LR gets this, his defense is built to protect the house |

Stalock with 2 huge saves in this period, guys being a little irresponsible on the defensive coverage today |
|
|
|
I want to hear Reichel say, I'll be back |

There will be a lot of pressure on Michkov if he is able to even leave Russia. Adapting to a new culture too without any Russian teammates is something a GM needs to not only be cognizant about, but what personality, age, and talent level would a second Russian player input on the kid Michnov. Let’s not overlook the ramifications of what outcome should this kid get a lot of money, plays here one year, then goes back for the summer to Russia. Whether Putin is alive or not, the powers that be in Russia use Michkov as their tool.
No NHL - Russia agreement (is there one presently?). Does the kid voluntarily give Putin a $200,000 gift so that he remains in good grace. That Michkov could be a political pawn ti some extent is a real possibility KD better plan carefully and make a prudent business decision if Michkiv name is there ti be plucked when Chicago drafts!
I have no doubt that the kid can olay and that his size will not be a deterrent. Hesimy wants it (NHL) badly, right?
Well to those who doubted Reichel - they can change course and question Michnov |

They have been relentless on Josi tonight, he was complaining to the refs before he left the ice at the end of the second period, hahaha |

It gives me great pleasure that we are the bullies against this (frank)ing team, win or lose |

So I'm thinking Bettman needs us to win down the stretch so when he gives us Bedard, he can say, "See, tanking doesn't pay off".......... |

So, do u resign Stalock, or does he hurt the rebuild? His numbers are amazing considering what is playing in front of him. Luke is setting a culture that has to give the Hawks hope especially with the next 3 drafts. Yes, growing pains are going to be there, but the future should, key word, SHOULD be exciting!! |
