Just saying, when the Blackhawks use the 2023 second rounder acquired from Ottawa(around slot #44).

the hawks will see an available draft board that is perfect to get
a) Goaltender
b) a smaller sized forward
c) a still in Russia Russian forward

d) or, a draft board LOADED with defenseman that truly rank here and it would require a reach to pass them.

The Tampa Bay first rounder and Chicago second rounder are perfect places for to excellent prospects you what for..that in my opinion can be very high end NHlers as they progress.

Or you go take a goalie and don't wait until slot 44, just go get him despite the possibility he is a fail or Commesso upside level prospect. You simply have to guess (like they did with Commesso, that there is enough there to signify upside.)

I love how fast the team skates North/South without Kane in the lineup. You're going to need a veteran centerman who can hold possession and a winger who can finish on this team next year for Kane to be of any use. I want to see this club turn the page.

I think the chances od a trade into those spots closer to the draft are still rare. What the hawk did with the DeBrincat trade and the Dacha / Romanov / pick to get korchinski and Nazar took that-establish players...or if you are talking picks all three of the next picks Tampa /Hawks / Ottawa.

I don't think (even after my dislike for the Reichel pick) you trade him before he gets season in the NHl to show strengths...he has really nice jump to his pins and just needs to learn all the defensive aspects in all three zones.

So I don't think I trade out of a top twelve pick this year if I have one...
