Sabres last won a playoff round in 2007. Over the last decade the team has a 36% winning record in the regular season. But they won a game last night so that’s cute.

Pretty sick! He would have scored 8 if he wasn't subbed so early.

Desharnais said John Tavares texted him to apologize for the slash in Saturday’s game. VD said he appreciated the text, but told Tavares not to worry. “It’s part of the game,” he responded.

Gm meetings talking about refs missing poop and stuff... here's the quote from TSN. I find it kind of mind boggling this isn't common knowledge to the GMs. Like the league has kept it secret. I could be wrong but it should be common knowledge how refs are discussing things during the games.

Talk is cheap though and it seems the actions don't follow through? I don't know.

They are and director of officiating Stephen Walkom addressed the GMs on Tuesday. One of the things he did in his presentation is show a video of a day in the life of veteran official Wes McCauley. That detailed through a game the kind of discussion that are had between periods among the officials, how the officiating director on site communicates with the referee and points out, maybe, “Hey you missed a call here or you could have done this there.” [It even showed] how McCauley himself breaks the game down the next day and looks at his own performance

If McCauley actually does that, he better be giving himself a failing grade, because holy poop, he's an awful ref.

There hasn't been a truly good ref in the league since 1967.

Don't give Frank D'Angelo any ideas. He's already done it before and I wouldn't put it passed him to try it again.

The leafs last on a playoff round in 2004 I believe, sooooo.

Ya sure their reg season winning record is better than 36%....but still no playoff series win so it matters not

It's based on musings, poor basis for stats.

That'd be a great site. Stats based on fan feelings. I would call it 'hockeybuzz'

Good evenin Leafers. Here to talk hockey.

Grats on Knies. Was that the Hobey?

Onto D pairings. With so many of them what are the pairings looking to end up looking like? I’m guessing matching up against ops will factor into it. Thx
