I honestly don’t think he is tradeable without major retention/ picks. I realize his salary is low but he provides value of a player with a low salary lol. Such a strange opinion held by some fans and most media - CanuckDon
Him and about 25% of all defenders that are paid 3M and above.
Everyday fringe 3rd line defenders start at 3m plus per year these days |

OHHHH! Lekkerimaki scores to give his team the lead in the 3rd period. Two EN goals not by him for the sweep, onto next round for Djurgardens |

I think he will be okay in a few years with proper development. |

What do you think of kravtsov? I see a guy with skill but lacks confidence. |

If we pick around 10th OV - a lot of centers are available
who's the "can't pass-up guy?"
Will Smith
Brayden Yager
Dalibor Dvorsky
Ryan Leonard
Oliver Moore
Calum Ritchie
Nate Danielson - Brooks_Light
Smith will go earlier.
I’d pick Moore. |

Game is over but I was watching it on onhockey dot tv
Better have a good ad blocker and take the time to close like 5 pop up ads before you can watch. It's got a heck of a lot better over the years though. They have pretty well every game in every major league now.
Hoping someone puts the Abbotsford game on there later. |

Signing Gavrikov?? yikes - great player, but not realistic, given our cap.
I'd like to see zero free-agent signings. Any changes should be through trades - ideally player for player. But mainly, addition by subtraction and internal promotion.
The management has done a great job of putting together cheap, valuable support pieces, ex. Dries, Joshua, Aman, Wolanin, Juulson, Bear, Brisebois, Burroughs, PDG. The internal competition for these roles is stronger than ever. In the past, these opportunities were rarely given or most importantly, seized.
The prospect pool isn't as dire as some say, while these guys aren't going to EP-level game-changers, some solid pieces are developing (slowly) - the right way in Abby/beyond in McDonough, Karlsson, Hoglander, Klimavich, Bains, Johansson, Rathbone, Pettersson 2.0, Truscott, Jurmo.
The real work is finding ways to jettison: Pearson, Garland, Myers, OEL, Dermott, Poolman. - Brooks_Light
On Gavrikov he’s a solid top 4 defensive D & about the only UFA D I would go for.
Pearson probably LTIRetired.
Garland is in my trades.
Myers neutral trade or ride it out.
OEL buyout in the future.
Dermott for depth or trade for a pick.
Poolman likely LTIRetired |

Lacks confidence is an understatement. He looks scared to have the puck anywhere near him. |

Yeah, over agers who are undrafted seldom make a big impact. As you mentioned there are occasions. I still think McDonnaugh was our guy.
I wanted the team to tank and go after a high pick this year, but I really get the feeling they are not interested in long term development.
I do like Graves as a free agent (OEL replacement). Canucks can score and hopefully they have targeted the D to fix. - VANTEL
Graves if not Gavrikov fine by me. Comes down to cost & term. |

I would not touch the forward group. I like the depth of all four lines. I thought about replacing Dries but the guy has 11 goals. That is pretty decent for a third line center.
Bring in 2 D by beg borrow or steal. |

He was OJHL I believe not NCAA and also that was 13 years ago. They do happen sometimes but not often.
I think PA will probably be combing SHL and KHL more than NCAA. - VANTEL

Fresh start helps him. If he skates hard & works hard his luck will improve. Good speed 3rd liner type winger & cheap. |

If the same F group returns I’m ok with that. To add D that then leaves dumping Myers. Getting a 3C isn’t needed to be forced unless great value. So a vet on a 1 year deal if they go that route. |

I would get rid of Boeser & Garland, to start with. Start getting bigger wingers. |
