I would get rid of Boeser & Garland, to start with. Start getting bigger wingers. - Marwood
I know I am one of the few here that like Garland. I would agree about Boeser but he is starting to play good with Miller but it is the annual season ending push to pad numbers.
I think moving either one you would be selling low at this time and still need to replace their productivity.

It's great really though, just keep playing these Russian's then when they are on cheap contracts they go boom. Look at Nuchushkin. He was nobody for years then all of a sudden WHAM! out of nowhere he's a PPG making 2m a year. Too bad it only lasted a year then he had to be paid.
That's why TB pays all those extra draft picks for the cheap contracts like Hagel, Jeannot, Coleman because it's hard to find out players that perform contracts. |

Canucks are tied for 10 th in scoring and played one less game than NYR. Only two goals behind Leafs who are considered a good scoring team. |

I’ve picked Garland cuz cap space for another top 4 D. Might be an easier trade idk. Boeser is paid to score & he’s expensive. Idk if I’d like the return so on that alone he stays. That said it depends on PA & RT & their philosophy on how to build the team. Standing pat then it’s liking deeper offense from 3 lines. Leaves it to other means to keep on rebuilding the D. |

That’s my feeling as well. It’s a tough choice on who or how to move forward. |

Goaltending depth needs work as well. Need a solid NHL calibre back-up and a blue chipper like Demko was. |

My 2 cents is it hinges on OEL. I don't believe they will bring him back if he is no better than he was this year.
I think they are saying the right things by saying he is going to come back healthy and back to old form. If they are talking about OEL of four years ago then that is fine and be a solid addition. If they are talking about hoping he comes back to form of last year then they are dumber than I thought.

OEL last year was respectable.
Just watched the 2nd period of Quinnipac and Merrimack.
Quinny plays a hell of a structured game. That's a coach that does a ton with not a lot of individual talent. Can see why there so strong every year.
They have what looks like good players every year but really have no good NHL alumni.
Connor Clifton 2018-2023 222 10 31 41 41 147
Connor Jones 2016-2017 4 0 0 0 1 2
Matthew Peca 2016-2022 83 6 15 21 -15 6
Chase Priskie 2021-2022 4 0 0 0 2 2
Brogan Rafferty 2018-2021 3 0 1 1 -2 0
Devon Toews 2018-2023 303 39 133 172 119 72
Bryce Van Brabant 2013-2014 6 0 0 0 -1 2
That's not much of a list. 2 defenders.
I like this defender during that period. Limited viewing obviously but has the tools and didn't look lost at all

Matvei Michkov's past five games in the KHL (March 2-14). He has 4 goals and 7 points in those contests.

He would be my selection if he fell and they kept the pick. |

Like the Sedin's before these guys, the production can be replaced. |

You really are enjoying soft hockey these days.
You might want to start watching teams other than the Canucks. |

You can be the highest scoring team in league history, but, as you know, if you can’t defend, you’re not gonna win Jack sh it! |

Scoring hasn't been an issue for awhile now. Defending is the problem. A healthy Demko is a big start for the re-tool. |

The 80 Oilers might argue that.
