That is a lot of production to replace. I think 1 needs to go. Just by numbers and for creating cap space. Need cap space for 3lc. - manvanfan
They can afford to lose some offence if they play better defensively. In my humble opinion. They’ve allowed 265 goals against, only five teams in the league are worse.
Minnesota, as an example, has scored something like 30 less goals than the Canucks but they also allowed something like 70 less goals against. They lead the central division. |

I think with the rough start last season at one point he may have been a minus but finished the year at +10. Hughes has already hit last years point totals with close to 10 games left and not one Norris Vote to my knowledge. Sad. - LordHumungous
They should have a trophy like the Art Ross for the highest scoring defenseman (Bobby Orr Trophy) and then the James Norris for the “best defenseman”. Neither Quinn Hughes or Erik Karlsson should win the Norris imho. There are much better all-around dmen in the league. |

Seen a lot of line shuffling lately.
Was just looking at money puck and it's Kuzmenko-Pettersson and whoever are pretty well the only line with current players that are over 50%
PDG-Miller- Boeser although are not controlling play most night (43%) do have a 7-6 5v5 goal scoring.
Although things are a bit better lately and getting good goaltending helps. Team could still stand to be more consistent. Brick by brick right? |

Every team signs college UFA’s at some point, this isn’t a new phenomenon. Rarely do they turn out, but whatever, keep trying. |

Cam Robinson just posted this…
“What do the Canucks have in newly-signed, Max Sasson?
A detail-oriented centre with smart defensive habits, and decent feet.
Lacks real offensive upside but he’s still young enough to find another gear.
Oh, and he’s with Gold Star so it was a gimme he’d end up in VAN” |

I watched a few highlights and watched them lose the other day. I wasn't impressed but the entire team wasn't all that great. Did most of the heavy lifting defensively for his line.
Kind of reminded me of a poor man's Aman. Sneaky stick. Not high offence but good at creating space for line mates. |

Feel as if my 1 game thoughts seemed to be the same as Cam Robinson.
Hopefully with a little more seasoning he can gain a step offensively and become good depth. |
