Who would you rather the Canucks sign as a next year?
Severson or Dumba
Same age, UFA, RHD, etc. - dbot
Neither |

Drance: Vince Dunn was available to the Canucks for the pick they gave up for Jason Richardinson ahead of the expansion draft and the organization didn't have interest.
Most said that Dunn was a bit underrated playing in STL. |

I've seen his name mentioned a few times.

I'd put the two comparable to Evan Bouchard (DRagecivic) and Noah Dobson(Reinbacher). Sandin-Pellikka being Adam Boqvist. - manvanfan
So...Reinbacher it is then. (change my pick) |

I saw Bader who had them as like "28" for Dragecivic and "26" for Reinbacher.
Between Dobson and Bouchard is damn close between them.
Career wise
Dobson 227 gp 29g 83a 112 pts -5 18:57 TOI
Bouchard 172gp 19g 59a 78 pts +3 18:24 TOI
Dobson PP TOI 2:28 SH TOI :24 5v5 GF 161 GA 160 +1
Bouchard PP TOI 1:04 SH TOI 1:04 GF 136 GA 135 +1
Dobson Hits per 60 2.77 Blocks per 60 4.70
Bouchard Hits per 60 3.41 Blocks per 60 3.65
If Bouchard became a bit better skater, I'd say he would be the guy to take. Could be pretty even between the two again though. |

I would hope so also. If a center drops or as long as it isn't Benson or Cristall I'd accept most of the wingers in that range. |

To be fair it was really only the analytics people that said there was more to Dunn's game. So it makes sense that Benning's scouts wouldn't. |

EliteProspects did a review on him.
Cam Robinson has it.

Since I can't copy the words
"Some of the best puck skills and vision in the class. Production seems to follow him around which speaks to his offensive intelligence" -Western Conference scout.
Build some legs like Marty St. Louis on him and does he have the same sort of career?
That's up to the scouts . |

NHL Signings
Hunter McKown, RW, Colorado College (CBJ) -- March 20
The Blue Jackets landed one of the top players in the undrafted free agent market.
Anton Malmström, D, Bowling Green (STL) -- March 8
Malmström had generated buzz over the course of the season thanks in large part to his big frame and ability to defend at a high level.

Chris Peters
Possible college free agents
https://www.flohockey.tv/...gn-with-nhl-teams-in-2023
UPDATED Mar. 17: Bengtsson entered the transfer portal last week and appears poised to spend a fourth season in college hockey. It is believed he has already selected his next destination for his final collegiate season.
Van with rumoured interest in him.
Seidem and Anhorn two other possibilities on defence.

So Don was right? His skating needs work? Still say Reinbacher is the first D drafted. - K-man25
Canucks will draft him then a project 😆 |

Dylan Anhorn out of union? He played for the spruce kings during that run to the nationals, I’ve watched him since he was 17. |

Makes some pretty good points, if all goes well for Canucks they can out perform their poor structure with their skill at times. Kings on the other hand have very good structure but less skill.
For anyone that thinks possession hockey is ridiculous. Kings are on the other side where they are getting below average save percentage and below average shooting but possess the puck over 52.3% of the time 5v5. Sit 7th in the league.
The Canucks are getting below average goaltending, shoot above average but possess the puck only 47.8% and are sitting 25th in the standings. |

Not sure if this a Drance comment, or if it is you saying this, but I started playing hockey about 53 years ago, this has always been the philosophy, the team that has the puck the most, has the best chance of winning the game.
These analytic people are complete idiots, always thinking they are coming up with something different, or new. |

Pick 9-11? He is rising fast, but a fair number of legit draft sites have him going much lower. McKeens for example has him at 26, Bob McKenzie at 20. So we'll see.
Dragocevic (if that's how you spell it) is also interesting. Anyhoo, RHD should be the priority unless there is a can't miss C available. Would be something if Mitchkov drops into our range. - we_are_all_canucks Drag is the slowest of the draft eligible dmen of the 1st round. Zero interest. |
