Unlike this DeRosa kid, the Canucks best players are showing up and the culture-shift is in full swing boys. It’s an amazing time to be a Canucks fan. |

I am always happy.
For your sake, I hope that team starts finding some form of direction. - Reubenkincade
They need to do what the Canucks need to do, start building from within through the draft. That said, the Canucks actually have a few star players and can be competitive, bubble competitive, whereas the Flyers need to start from almost scratch. They need to trade everyone, everyone!!! |

Isn't that great! You get to cheer for one team with a re-tool & another with a complete rebuild! Best of both worlds. Clearly there's a benefit to having several favorite teams!

I may have seen 3 Flyers games this season, Provorov, Sanheim and Tippett were the only 3 players doing anything. |

You mean like the contract slot they just wasted on Sasson? - Reubenkincade
Contract is next year. ATO this year.
The scouting report on the left-shot Sasson is that he can be deployed in all situations, has a high compete level and good jump. That foot speed carries over to the neutral zone, but like many moving on to the pro game, he needs work on being quicker in tight areas. On the power play, he’s good on the flank and his quick shot has some zip. He’s also willing to work inside to get to pucks around net and extend plays.
He’s a C not a pylon AHL D man.
Said one NHL scout: “I think he should have played a third (NCAA) year, but overall, he will project into a two-way, second-line AHL centre in his prime years of 24 to 29. The vast majority of NCAA free agents are AHL players.” |

Tippett was an excellent pickup for them, Tyson Foerster has been quietly developing nicely. They’ve got a few good kids but they need to sell everything. |

I agree with you on Aman. For now he is fine as a 4C. I don't see him as a 3C yet. - VANTEL
Hopefully Aman takes a step next season. Even as 4lc has has been on the bottom end of that. He actually hasn't been all that much better than Lammikko was last year. |

Benning was the worst, just awful, crashed and burned on 50% of his first round picks and had to be convinced to draft Elias Pettersson, who may go down as a top five draft pick in Canucks history. |

Shane Malloy said it will be up to the development team to get him to that next step, a 13th forward. |

Got his 2nd on the night so 27 and 55 points now.
People keep saying they would still rather Podz. Ya, how many GM's do you think would trade in a 1 for 1?

Drafting isn't a 1 or 2 year deal.
For 7 years you'd probably be taking Horvat over Nuchushkin but the last two years and a cup win later, I think it would be much more 50/50 on who a GM would prefer. |

Sasson is a left shot, dime a dozen AHL plug forward. Waste of a contract. |

Good grief you have to be kidding...
It's that kind of thinking that landed us Jay Beagle at such an inflated salary. |

I put no thoughts or time into undrafted collegians. Undrafted for a reason & so very few ever pan out. Jr players are at least younger but also the odd one is a late bloomer. Euros are much harder to get a feel on. Play fewer games & on the large ice. Better to wait longer on them. |
