Hughes Bear
Gavrikov Hronek
OEL (🤮) Wolanin
Hirose julsen - CanuckDon
Ouch
Is this Sarcastic Wednesday or something?
A number 7 Dman playing top pairing. Three AHL Dmen Wolanen Briesbois and Juulsen. A NCAA that has never played a NHL game. And a broken down, injured, slow Dman that can't defend anymore. |

Is Hirose a right or a lefty?
With Colliton absolutely crushing proper coaching in the AHL it's going to be a lot easier to bring guys up when injuries happen as well.
I wonder if maybe we could get Brian Dumoulin the the cheap. Be a nice 6 7 with size
Defense Elias Petterson looks like he may be a player in 2 years ish it seems as well |

He is a lefty: sounds like Dumoulin is done, completely washed |

Ok. Be nice to sign someone with a bit of size on the cheap for the 7th dman
Ryan Graves would be sick but I don't think that's gonna happen |

Bear is not a number 7. Give me a (frank)ing break. Wolanin has absolutely looked like a solid 3rd pairing D. OEL is thanks to benning, they don’t have a choice |

He is doing his job. Abby gave up a lot of late game leads this year including the game I went to. They have a .592 winning %.
They are keeping above water. There is nothing sensational about the team or coaching. I am not knocking them but lets keep it real.

Well management, Abby players, agents and rationale fans do not agree with you. Just look at the job the call ups have done. Amen was pure trash before his demotion. Wolanin has also looked great |

The thing for me is him and Tochett are on the same page. Finally we have the minors playing the same as the big club. Colliton is great at communicating with the blend of ages he has and getting them to listen. Great coach |

I would have assembled that D for a roster to get Beddard. Seriously, sorry to insult your post but that is a terrible line up.
You have two very nice pieces with Hronek and Hughes. Fix the rest.

Well we don’t have a $180 million payroll. To add to this, Gavrikov is clearly a top 4 dman and Bear is easily a number 5. No idea what you are expecting management to do. Maybe they can pry Makar out of COL and Hedman from Tampa |

Abby had a better winning percentage the year before in 2021/22 season before Tochett.
There is nothing special about this team. The game I seen against the Col Eagles they were out chanced all game. They had a decent defensive structure but very little attack. The game was even a little boring. |

They do have a choice.
Look at Minny showing big balls and buying out Suter and Parise. Now on top in their division.
Montreal made a big decision with Weber and Price. If you are going to wait until contracts expire or pay less on a buyout then they should not have moved two top 40 picks this year.

No they don’t have a choice. Only Aquilini does and he ain’t green lighting a $28MM buyout |

It is 19 mil over 8 years. Average about 2.5 per year.
Paying a Schenn like player Gavrikov 4.5 for 4 years is very Poolman like.

Spent a lot of time watching Gavrikov have you? Watch a few LA games and let me know if this is how you still feel about the player. The only similarity he has to Schenn is size.
Also, I believe Aquilinis largest buyout was $4.5MM (someone correct me if I’m off slightly), slightly different than $19MM). Up to you if you want to operate in reality |

I read CBA is 24 y/o+ is a 1 year, 22/23 is 2 year and 21 and younger is 3 year ELC's. He falls under the 24 y/o rule due to birth date. - Retinalz
I see they gave him a contract of 2.1 mil. There is only 10 games left so not a big deal this year but he is a RFA and would that mean he has to be qualified at 2.1 next year for his next contract? That is steep for a player who never played a NHL game.

Ballard 5.6 in 2013.
Canucks over the last 10 years have spent 17.4 in buyouts so it is not a huge difference of the next 8 years spending 19 mil. |

A single player versus what? 7 or 8? Agree to disagree on this one. OEL will be back |

It is the money that matters. It cost FA 17 mil in the last decade.
He might be back. He might be on LTIR. My point is if they bring back OEL of last year and have Bear playing with Hughes then I will nominate this management as the dumbest in Canucks history. They can go from hero to zero with the moves in the summer.
I am trusting some big ball moves are made this summer.

Again you are saying bat sh!t crazy stuff over and over again. Doesn’t make any of it true. OEL is not up to management it’s up to ownership. Bear is a legit NHL dman. |
