I am going to disagree with the stupid part. He is a businessman making lots of money. He is not going to okay a play to pay 82 million in salaries to have an empty building.
He makes money selling jerseys and overpriced food and beverage. He is a businessman not a hockey man. - VANTEL
He's stubborn, arrogant, and probably a lot more but ya, I agree... not stupid. If he was stupid he'd probably wasted his time with a restaurant in Arizona or something instead of a sports franchise.

He is stupid. Slumlord Daddy made the family fortune. Born lucky.
Any owner could do no worse in Vancouver. They’ve made money ever since the Griffith building their own rink & leaving the PNE.
Absentee owner McCaw had better teams. - Nighthawk
True, Luigi did build the company. Wish Tom Gaglardi would have won the court case. |

Proof winning is more than drafting. - Nighthawk
Adding an 18 year old superstar to our lineup on an ELC would be amazing. When's the last time we added an impact 18 year old to the NHL roster for a full season? Linden?
How many cups would the Pens have won had they drafted 2nd in 2005 and 1984? It's still easier to build a team around the most elite talent. |

How? There was no cap space to do it after Miller and all the other signings that came first. Petey only 1 year after coming up... maybe he trades Miller but he would have had to do the same... choose one. Miller was his guy and had a monster year. Maybe Benning does the same...
We can speculate what he would have done but that's as far as it goes and our imagination is limited by cap space(for those who try and keep it realistic). - boonerbuck
He would’ve used his first round pick to trade some money. Top five worst GM’s in NHL history. |

Suck it Reuby!!
“Quinn Hughes’ season:
- 72 points in 70 games, 2nd in defensemen scoring
- on pace for over 70 assists
- +18 rating on non-playoff team, facing top lines
- +11 takeaway/giveaway
- 58.5 CF%
- 2.4 points/60
“he’s poor defensively”… just.. no
He has a Norris finalist case.” |

True but not every draft has generational players. As ‘84 it was the most obvious tank job in history. That’s unprofessional. |

That's not true.
Moving down to underdeveloped downtown Vancouver on a $0.60 nearly made the franchise fold. |

Omitting PNE held concession revenues & parking lot fees. That’s a ton of lost revenues. |

Building isn't empty. The main group of people who female dog are very small. This board my self included. Most people need the smallest glimmer of hope and they are happy. They just want to have fun. Try looking at it that way it's way way more enjoyable. Happy Wednesday sweet V |

He won't win but has a case. Karlsson may hot 100 pts then you gotta but he doesn't do anything de wise. It should prob go to Morrissey but Quinn is right there. Guy is elite

Maybe but doubtful. He's more likely to keep the picks than this management...

I doubt it, he was desperate to win after so many years of losing. Last couple years he was trading draft picks like crazy. |

Stopped caring after that pick was traded.
