why trade valuable assets for him when you can sign him next year without sacrificing anything.
I listened to a few of his podcasts (Tony), he is annoying. - Symba007
he's always been kind of annoying on the radio too lol.
but I doubt that Cheveldayoff would just let him walk without getting anything in return, he's surely gonna try to make a trade happen, otherwise the jets would look dumb AF...

if he is serious about coming to MTL, he will come as a UFA next summer. If I am Dubois, why would you want the Habs to unload quality assets to come and get him and weaken the team.
WPG will trade him this summer unless he signs an extension. MTL will make an offer but no way it will include Hutson.
Roomer that keeps coming back is we might see Anderson and Florida's pick....which is too much IMO knowing he is UFA next summer
other teams will see him as a 1yr rental....Habs will see the chance to sign him to an 8yrs deal instead of 7. HuGo will wait and see what happen on May 8th and where they end up drafting. If they win the Bedard lottery....who knows if they still want Dubois.

that's the thing, if WPG wants a serious return from any team, there would have to be some sort of guarantee that Dubois would sign long-term with his new team... I don't think there's any negotiating mechanism that allows this but if there aren't any talks pertaining to an extension it means the jets are basically getting (frank)ed over pretty hard lol

So they've been unlucky, suck in the shootout and their goaltending has been subpar.
Sounds like a plan to miss the playoffs to me. - Scabeh
I'd be very surprised if Sutter was still there next year, especially if they're missing the playoffs. kinda like Paul Maurice in FLA, wtf was that hire about...

(frank)ing Paul Maurice.
Top 5 coach in total wins, yet I am 100% convinced he's a terrible coach that never brings out the full potential of his teams.

I think that's only due to the fact that he's been an NHL head coach since 1995...
his teams often missed the playoffs, and when they didn't they've never won a cup with him at the helm, even after that insane amount of years in the league.
