He said he had just lost a tooth - not sure I believe it - corduroy
He did a lose a bottom front tooth. He also has a health issue but keeps the specifics private. I have known Barry (through our mutual friendship with Paul Stewart) for years, albeit casually. Great guy. Sat with him in the pressbox and chatted for about 20 mins before the game last week.
Foerster continues to impress and was rewarded with over 18 minutes of ice time this evening. Kind of has the "it" factor with his confidence and he certainly can shoot the puck! I thought Tippett had his first bad game in awhile, but these things will happen to young players. Lemieux with a minute more ice time than Frost tonight. That ain't gonna make some folks on here happy. - Phillywhiteout
Don't just look at the ice time and say "this guy played more". Look at the number of times he is sent over the boards -- count the shifts. Frost didn't get caught in any extra long shifts last night where he couldn't change. Lemieux got caught on at least one partial change where he subsequently didn't have a chance to get to the bench.

The issue may be if in fact Coots and Atkinson will be back, and if so, for how long. I'm not confident with either based on their injuries although I admit to having no idea what Atkinson's deal is. - Phillywhiteout
I will not count on Cam returning until i see it. Can't remember the last time they gave an update for him unless i missed it. at least it has been mentioned for a while that coots was skating.

dos anyone have any info on cam? - Peter Richards
Believe it when I see it is my new mantra for the Flyers. Especially when it comes to injured players. I do not trust this team AT ALL when it comes to diagnosing injuries and providing proper care.

Frost had 24 shifts last night to 22 for Lemieux. - bmeltzer
Flyers are on a hot streak! 7 out of 8 points in the last 4 against better teams, Montreal is firmly behind them and now they’ve passed Arizona. Whoever predicted a meaningless hot streak, you win!
On the bright side, seeing Foerester play so well (a laser of a shot), the continued development of Tippett, and no one can deny that Frost is getting every opportunity to play. Zamula has looked composed, and that’s a good thing. Ultimately the chances of Bedard are super slim and not much better at spot 5 than at spot 7, but they’re watching a few players really display something good is worth watching. It was a really good game last night.

Don't worry, they'll be going on the road at the end. Frost is one of the best players on the team.
I did not watch one second last night. Just really commenting on the last stretch of games that I personally did not notice him at all. And the scoresheet hasn't either. Seems like the youngsters have taken some of his minutes. That is a great thing.

You have to really think of what the floor is for this group. Even if you trade a Provy, they have a pipeline to replace him, as good, no, but other kids will get better and mitigate his loss. They have already played without TK, Coots and Cam. Where will they finish to get the high picks. There is hope in the idea that other teams, close to them, maybe below them, will take a bigger step forward. It feels like, with them trying to get high picks, they still could be picking around 12-14
for all those who hate risto. not saying he is amazing, just that if you guys saw last night it, was fun watching him put reaves on the ice multiple times.

I know I am old school but +/- is not too bad like his is I say he has a decent year. He is not hurting the team when it comes to goals against. People share the weird heat maps with corsi and other bs stats I could care less about, does he pass my eye test, yes.

I think this is an improvement year for RR, now lets see if he can maintain and even add.

A team is never going to win with Ristolainen playing a significant role. That's what my eye test tells me. If he was a 3rd pair defenseman making less money that didn't cost an arm and a leg to acquire. He would be okay. The Flyers are getting significantly better value from Nick Seeler.

I think he has torn his game down to the bare bones. You are seeing less glaring miscues and somewhat better positioning. Less appalling to watch but he is still a second pair defender at best. Probably a third pair on a good team.

Since January I don't think his game has been bad. Just like the fact that the goon reaves was running around but was laid out by risto at least 3 times. he was effective in his game last night.
the best was when risto was coming up the ice, reaves took a run at him in the open but went flying like a child.
