After watching both guys for a few weeks, you can see Tarasenko more of a fit than Kane so far. Just his game is better suited for them. You have to look at this way, you could’ve had Lafferty or Kane for a second rd pick. Just wait it out and be patient. He’s going to come alive. It took Meier a bit too

Also, Fox had his best game in a while tonight

That’s a playoff win right there. Very much reminded me of the playoffs last year. That’s where they have the canes number. The Canes are the darling of analytics, and tonight showed what it gets you if you can’t score. Canes are beatable because they can’t score in crunch time, or score consistently. They score on errors by the other team, if you limit mistakes you can beat them. They get a ton of easy shots on net so it’s all bloated how good they are with the puck. If anything they tire themselves out early in the game. Rangers played very hard tonight, one of the best efforts of the season. Not necessarily best looking game on the eyes.

Kane🤷🏻‍♂️he’s still not there imo. It’ll come. St Louis struggled early, but came alive in the run when they traded for him

Shesty is on his game at the right time, don’t get wrong Shesty saved them tonight

Rangers have had jump in their game lately. If they didn't match the Canes speed from the start we would have been in big trouble, especially not getting many SOG in the first. Totally a playoff game that I'm glad we won despite the start after picking it up in the third. Laf is reminding me of a young Kreider. Have to throw away the Covid seasons, he's coming into his own. Can't wait to see the Kid Line in the playoffs.

You're never going to look pretty ( win or lose ) playing against the Canes style. Just happy we got the 2 points and everyone seems to be healthy.
Guys get to have some sun in Florida before we play Saturday.

Couldnt watch again tonight, but caught some of the highlights and last 5 minutes so I can’t really comment on the game. However, I don’t care what any of you say about Sam calling games. Listening to him in the last few minutes, the passion he still has for the team, regardless of his player mixups etc, I still want him being the one calling games for us until he can’t anymore.

Fox game winner was in exact same spot of net as Chatfield's goal the other night

Panarin's had an incredible season, I think people have been a little bit out of their minds complaining about him to be honest

Thanks for GWG last night, Fox boy. Semi finals of fantasy and there's $1000 on the line.

As soon as Andersen left the net, I was chanting "Give it to Igor! Give it to Igor!"

He’s still a point per game player. People have knocked him bc his 5v5 play dipped a bit. Still a great player

It's amazing and incredibly lucky they won that game getting zero shot attempts at 5 on 5 for a full period.

Yet, only 9 HDSC against for the game. Really, we defended well for the most part. Carolina is one of the best teams in the league and in my opinion THE BEST at being hard to play against and executing your game plan. Some huge stops by Igor, but same at the other end.

The thing I noticed with Carolina is aside from aho they don’t have a ton of talented players. They also look burnt out by the 3rd period bc of their playing style. If they rangers can move the puck quickly against them as they did in tje 3rd they can hang with that team no question

They had 12 scoring chances and 3 high danger chances in the first period. As opposed to zero for the Rangers. You can be happy the Rangers won. But you also have to admit playing like that and winning is lucky.
