I don’t think that much better. A little better, sure.
I know his PP time has been mainly PP2 and it’s been on and off but he’s got 2 points in 62 min
That’s 31 full power plays and he produced two points.
That’s 1.79 points per 60
For comparisons sake Thompson is at 7.89 points per 60 on the PP.
I just don’t see this offensive dynamo - sbroads24
Krebs had 10 PPP the year before on PP1/PP2
Our special teams is also the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
The fact our PP is ranked 7th in the league should get Thompson Hart Votes and Dahlin Norris votes considering the whole scheme is for those two guys to pass the puck back and forth to one another and pray the one timer opens up. |

Right but you have repeatedly said “if he gets PP time” he’d start throwing up more points.
That hasn’t been the case this year.
I know he has some excellent passing abilities. We just don’t see it enough imo.
I truly like him in his role he’s in now. He’s a very entertaining and awesome bottom 6 guy right now.
I don’t see the point in changing it |

I think he’s a good developmental coach that can break the drought.
I don’t think he’s the coach that gets the city of Buffalo a parade.
I think his loyalty to his assistant coaches will eventually be his downfall.
Come March/April games get tighter and become close low scoring games and the margin of error becomes so tight. In a 7 game playoff series your special teams can be the difference between winning and losing a playoff series.
Every time we take a penalty I’m more shocked when we actually kill the penalty then if the other team scores.
It’s easy to blame personnel but the Sabres haven’t been able to kill penalties for years and there has been several different cast and characters. The goalies deserve blame, but they also face a high number of high danger opportunities. |

16 points meets your expectations for him? - Lunaion
Hopefully a 10 goal / 20 point season for girgensons.
That's the expectation....
He's gonna be close.
Better then elmer asplund....

[quote=Swedish_Jesus]Zemgus Girgensons is inverse Jeff Skinner though.
As good as Zemgus is defensively, there aren’t many forwards that drive less offence than he does.
9 points in 25 games works out to 30 even strength points over 82 games which isnt quite bad all things considered.
Quinn is on pace for 35 even strength points this year. Peterka is on pace for 30 himself.
Where would Krebs be if he rode top 6 wing for a majority of the season ?

You would think the analytics "question guy" would see these stats.....

Do they score when girgensons is out on the ice on the PK.
Kinda thought he quietly did his job.
Decent +/- this season.
All of the tough match ups.....
I'm ready for change, if they can truly replace him and improve. |

Well you would hope he would address this situation in the offseason or a trade at the Draft. If Adams is gonna build from within, he better start Drafting some D and we have about 2 to 3 years more waiting. |

How does girgs compare to 12th best forward on other nhl teams?
Generally curious ....
I think we know girgensons is a defensive forward 🤔 |

19.5 mil in cap space for 2023-24 season with 20 guys signed
if they can't improve it's because they decided not to spend money IMO |

With where the Sabres will be hopefully picking the next few years In The first.
They have like a 70/30 chance at landing a Girgensosns over a Cozens/Quinn though.
Before someone says but Kulich and Ostlund, I know. I’m highly excited for them, but Neither have proven anything in the big leagues. Member when Girgs was supposed to be a better ROR?
Now he’s ROR if ROR was 50 years old. |

You look at things, and would be nice to add another top 6 winger. But with the players Kulich Savoie Rousek Rosen coming up are offense should only get better. Adams doesn't have that luxury with are Defense, it should be his priority this offseason. |

Just my opinion, Sabres are not gonna be spending too much this offseason.
Too many good young prospects that appear ready.
Good prospects picked by the management group.
Olofsson gone
Okposo gone
Girgensons 30/70 gone
After meeting with Adams last night. I think bryson plays his deal out next season.
Joker gone
Anderson gone
