I love Chytil extension!

Reminds me of the Kreider deal they did around the same age where he got 4 years 18 million. Got Chytill for cheaper, well done

It’s great deal for Chytil too. He gets another payday at the age of 27-28. Which by then he could be the number one center at 8 mill, and that’s without inflation. So could be more

I blew it on him!!! I’m an idiot

It’s really good to have center locked up for this long. Takes a lot of pressure off the organization. Hopefully eventually they develop someone for the 4th line, who can be the next Chytil by the time Trocheck and Zib are done (become a 2C). I guess Bryce McConnell Barker is the next kid up for that down the road. I think Sykora can play center too

How many top 6 centers start out on the fourth line on a consistent basis?

I know just saying it’s gonna be tough for anyone to jump the current 3 for awhile. They can really take their time with Barker, for instance. I think Jimmy said he’s a real good faceoff guy

Mika can’t be traded and trocheck can be traded starting in the ‘25-‘26 season. Chytil’s contract takes him through the season after that. I think we’re in the delicate but promising situation of not needing a top 9 center for a long time. That all goes wrong if any one of the three don’t work out for any reason

Which is my original point wasn’t that long ago when we only had one. Chytil has obviously arrived, and Trocheck. We were worried about this. Fil just needs to improve and get into the mid 40s% on faceoffs. But it’s kind of not as big of a deal now that they have Trocheck

Depth down the middle, and really good depth, is a wonderful thing. Now lock up Laf and Key and good to go

Glad Chytil was able to prove the haters wrong, he’s going to be an important part of this core going forward. Great deal for both sides, contract is going to look like a steal a year or 2 from now.

I’d say that’s probably their biggest “weakness” going into the playoffs. Something they need to be mindful of, that’s all. If it weren’t for Shesty playing all world again the last few weeks we could have a completely different feeling right now about this team, they can’t take him for granted to bail them out all the time.

This is what I mean. You can’t just enjoy the fkin team. You NEED to find flaws just to talk about something. It’s so annoying.

We have the best team we’ve ever assembled but you are just so stubborn to let yourself enjoy it because of Kane. You’re so bent out of shape about it and you won’t let it go. I can’t imagine what’s it’s like to be married to you

Rangers currently have the 2nd best goal differential in the NHL behind the Bruins.

Also, love the Chytil deal.
