It’s almost a mental game at this point. The Devils have had our # all season. They have carried play and the Rangers have struggled mightily with their speed. The Devils are honestly Carolina with more speed a better defense at this point. Being down 2-0 going into the 2nd doesn’t look good.

By no metric I can find do the devils have a better defense than CAR. That doesn’t make them worse. They play a very different and equally effective game. Is it coincidence that our two potential first round opponents play a style that we have to kind of willpower our way past so we can get back to playing our game? Idfk. If we win we win and I’ll be ecstatic. Just feels like we have this false sense of security from beating teams that are not going to be roadblocks in the playoffs
