Wow ... this was the fewest shots the Flyers have had in a game and they were an inch away from winnning the game in OT |

1-12 in OT now under Tyrannosaurus Torts.
They went 4-7 last season under AV and Yeo. - Feanor
Yeah maybe Torts should tie his skates tighter or try a P88 curve? |

This is why Sandstrom will not be part of the Flyers next year. One bad goal a game from him is like clockwork. Can't do it at the NHL level and succeed. I like Torts and what he expects from his players, but WTF with the two defenders and one forward in OT. This is the problem with old head coaches. They are stuck in their ways. You are one and friggin twelve in overtime! Wake the eff up you jackass!! |

Sandstrom and Provy will likely be gone next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if Torts pushes a Hayes buyout. While financially it wouldn’t be ideal it would do wonders for the room.

They need to move Laughton. After the summer, his value will only go lower.

100%. If Torts in the press box isn’t an indication to some that he’s at the helm I don’t know what to say to convince them otherwise?
Maybe he really likes the popcorn up there

I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong.
For example, I had to look up how to spell “reassess”
it’s not easy |

We’re all wrong from time to time. Most of us would rather blatantly force others to admit they were wrong instead, as if they’ve never been wrong before. |

Does anyone remember Hayes being traded for Brendan Lemieux in 2019?

I appreciate Laughton, but this team has an abundance of 3rd line forwards. Starting this summer should be about accumulating more draft picks and/or young talent. They needed to trade him before he was extended. One of the many mistakes of the former GM. Hopefully, Briere will do things differently. |

I thought York had one of his best games as a Flyer tonight. He's been making mistakes lately, but I like the fact that he is becoming more aggressive! Guy has lots of skill and just needs to let it go sometimes. Gotta look over your shoulder though when he's going into the corner for the puck. That was a pretty bad hit that he took, but part of that was on him. Allison regressing? |

There is a trade market for Hayes, especially if the Flyers cover about $2.5M per, but I agree, Provey and Hayes will most likely be the players subtracted from this team, along with JVR of course. |

I agree, its time to sell high on Laughton. He would get a good return, especially at his cap number. |

Did I fall into a time machine and get thrown back to 1975? :
Deslauriers is a neanderthal and is not a good hockey player. He's the perfect player for the Flyers. - MJL
You need some new material. We know ND is a neanderthal, Torts is archaic, etc., thanks to your daily reminders. Yes, I am a fool and embarrassing myself so I'll save you the response. I don't like the ND contract but have no problem with a vet like him getting limited minutes and adding toughness to the team. The Bunnaman's and Twarynski's of the world don't add much so might as well have a vet in that 4th line spot.

I'm also appreciative of Laughton but wonder if they will keep him around as a mentor to the kids, especially if Coots isn't able to play. I agree that we need to accumulate more young talent, so I'd hate to se him go but I'd trade Laughton if the price is right.

You also want to do right by the player and give him a chance to win assuming he wants it.
Really depends on who ends up sticking and if that’s a role needed to be filled. I don’t have an answer but torts already saying there will be no captain is interesting |
