No. But some are saying the him signaling is instigation.
- Peter Richards

That's incorrect and you are misunderstanding what is being said. Nobody that I have seen has been saying that Deslauriers should have gotten an instigator. What has been said and what has been explained fully. Is that the Ottawa player should not have been given an instigator because Deslauriers was both verbally and with gestures, challenging the Ottawa player. Both players mutually engaged. With what Deslauriers was doing, how could there be an instigator?

The waving and gesturing to a player is instigating. It was a wash.

That was a fun game to watch, the kids played well. The Tippett trade is working out really nicely for the Flyers, plus, we have the Panthers first round pick in 2024. I hope they are in a heavy sell mode at the draft.

How many times has someone fought two players in a row like that. I know it’s happened before just can’t remember who from the flyers. But also just in general. When was the last time that has happened?
- Peter Richards

That game where Emery fought Marty Biron then answered the bell vs Andrew Peters comes to mind:

You obviously didn't grasp what was meant by "it was a wash"

Bill, as well as the Flyers bench, agree that there should have been, at most, a 2min PP for the Flyers.

It's fine, we aren't going to agree on everything.

No and pretty sure he was breaking the code there. If he wants to go wait until he’s back out there.
- Peter Richards

Where in the code does it say you can't fight somebody who just got into another fight? Ever seen a line brawl? (See above)

Bigger code violation would be running your mouth and acting tough toward ND and then not answering the bell.

The Flyers bench is emotional and I'm not in position to know what they as a whole were thinking. I disagree with Bill and I read his post. With Deslauriers clearly challenging the Ottawa player, impossible for there to be an instigator penalty on the Ottawa player. It's clear cut.

i agree with what someone said that if he wanted to dance he should have waited until he was out of the box. We just see it different and that's cool.

I just view it as if he wanted to challenge wait til they are on the ice, not directly after a fight. when the refs are carting him to the box is all. if not a code violation than just take a ticket. but that's me.

i think insinuating someone doesn't "grasp" something that they don't agree with is counter-productive to having discussions but to each their own.

Perhaps but if something isn't worded correctly or not clear. One can simply ask for clarification and discuss it. He isn't making an effort to discuss it.

All I’m hearing from guys who don’t like fighting calling Torts a Dinosaur, it sounds like as you got older you softened up and now you’re the dinosaur. Last night was entertaining. The players enjoyed it. Relax. I’m sure you enjoyed this when you were young and less fragile too.

incorrect. it's an example of you continuing to try to antagonize. similar to nc flyers fan trying to end the conversation multiple times the other day. but yet the badgering continues. i have tried to end the conversation now as well multiple times. be an adult.

now back to rational hockey discussion.

it's fine if you don't agree but I'd argue it's more common for gloves to drop in a separate, spilled-over confrontation than whatever the hell happened last night.

don't worry about it man. he's not being genuine with what his true intentions are. and is now playing the victim. doesn't bother me in the slightest, more disappointed in myself for giving him the time of day as it was clear from the start what he is attempting.

Conversations are not one sided and one person does not decide when a conversation ends. One can only decide for themselves when they are done with a conversation and nobody forces anyone to continue. Responding with just 3 smiley emoticons is indeed childish trolling. Again, I'm giving you an opportunity that if you think I don't know what I'm talking about to prove that. Or you can continue trolling. If you make an honest effort to converse, I will do so in kind. If you want to continue trolling. Then I will go back to ignoring you.

I'm absolutely being genuine with giving you an opportunity for one on one conversation instead of ignoring you. Which the latter I know you would prefer. You've been trolling me for months. Now you're disappointed in giving me the time of day. If that was genuine and true, you would just ignore me. You have an opportunity to prove and back up your repeated statement that I'm incapable of understanding. Let's find out who actually does and who doesn't
