Tuch with 67% xGF% against the Rangers and 61% xGF% against the Flyers with no Tage Thompson.
Getting a legitimate top line winger back in an Eichel trade in the position the franchise was in was an absolute home run.
Not to mention guys like Krebs, Ostlund, and Greenway (if he can keep playing like he has the last two nights).

Can't wait Taco, maybe 2yrs. Be in Rochester next year and go from there. Gonna bring a edge and willingness to do things we don't have right know. - Buff36
I wouldn’t expect anything more from Nadeau then being a potential 4th line guy at the NHL level.
Hate to be pessimistic, but that point total in the QMJHL is pretty underwhelming.
Cheap depth and a 4th round pick panning out is always a positive though no doubt |

Gotta see how Krebs and Ostlund work out. Wouldn't have taken Eichel to pry Tuch away.

Didn’t you know Krebs was a legit 1C? Would’ve definitely produced more than 5 even strength assists over the past two games like the schmuck in his place

He missed the first 3 months of the season, and that’s fine I only need him to help make a strong 4th line who is willing to do the dirty stuff and drop the gloves when need be. |

I also want to shout out Casey Mittelstadt, who's going to end up with over 50 points this season.
The overall underlyings aren't great and he's not doing much of anything with his shot, but he's taken a giant leap as a pure playmaker this season. #LetsGoBuffalo

Evaluating trades a couple years later is a funny business. Krebs was a top prospect and has fallen off. Levi wasn't a highly rated prospect and took off. Risto trade was great value, but Rosen's stock has dropped.
I prefer to stick with expected value on the day of the trade.

I see more of a place in the future on the Sabres for Nadeau than I do Rosen, based on the construction of the roster and the array of prospects. |

What a wild ride Mitts + VO has been. Splitting them up has been great for Mitts. He's just not the right guy to babysit him.
Points aside, his effort went way up this year.

When VO isn't scoring he brings the whole line down. |

If Savoie can come in and stick at C, Mitts if still here could be a good LW for him, plus they could flip flop if need be. Greenway really needs to show these last games, he could throw a wrench in things. |

I go back and forth on this.
Tough to fairly critique trades without knowing the actual conversations and negotiations.
For example if Adams really “held out for Tuch” which is magically all the sudden a story since Tuch has been great, then it’s a pretty good bit of business. But I have doubts about the truthfulness of that |

Has he really though ?
I think he’s a prime breakout candidate next year. |

Tuch's modest cap hit hit amplifies his impact on the team, as it would allow them to spend more money elsewhere, on another impact forward, defenseman, or both.
It's why accelerating whatever mythical timeline management may have makes a lot of sense. |

Tuch is great. Which makes me think the Sabres got a little lucky because I don’t think Buffalo or Vegas knew just how good he’d be with an expanded role, otherwise Vegas might not make that deal now |

Do you believe that? The story at the time was always holding out for Krebs. We had to take some $ back and Tuch was the only one who really made sense.

It's possible. Centering a checking line 4 years post-draft is disappointing. Not writing him off or anything, just saying his stock is down.

To each their own.
Worst case scenario for Krebs is he gives you exactly what Mitts is right now for the fraction of the cost the next 3-4 years.
I’m just thankful Okposo buried the 2 on 1 last night cause the kid deserves another couple apples at least the last week and a half.
Girgensons should have called game in regulation against the Rangers and deflected the pass into the corner |
