FRANK!
Meaningful game in April. Good season. - SyrSabreFan
Overall it was. I've called the season dead multiple times this year and people say no moral victories but that's a load of crap, this was a big step forward and it's encouraging to see.
Goalie looks brighter with Levi signed and playing like this, I actually liked Lyubushkin and Stillman tonight as a pairing, didn't do much but didn't give up much and that's a good thing. If Johnson comes up and can fill a spot and you can get a depth forward with grit and defensive capabilities I think they take another step next year.
I'm on the fence about Jost at this point and think he might be the position that I look at for an upgrade. I think he was a good claim and has done okay this year, but his faceoff percentage is bad and his defense seems so so, for that role those are two things I want to see better.
If you told me in September we'd be this close and just miss out I'd believe it and take it. Let's take that step next year and break through.
Hopefully his last season here. 12th overall pick in his draft year so needs to be way better than that. - steve5569
Imo he was one of the better forwards tonight. If he played more like that I wouldn't be too upset about it. Had jump in his step, played well in his zone, had a few looks. You want him to put one in but Lyon played well tonight other than the Cozens goal.
Too much dead weight on this roster killed us this year
Okposo UFA
Jost RFA
Joker 1 year left
Bryson 1 year left
Clague RFA
Olofsson 1 year left
Comrie 1 year left
UPL(sometimes good sometimes bad) 1 year left

If those guys are the issue there's a good chance a lot of them are gone or in very reduced roles after this year. The players they bring in to replace them will be key
Tage, Tuch and Skinner a big disappointment. - sabresfan69
Yep - the Tage line was a no show and directly were to blame for FLA goal number 2.
We will win CUPS with Levi, just not this year. I know it's always next year with this team but we've been begging for months for our goalie to give up two goals or less and Levi just did it twice.
If KA doesn't get a top 4 Dman in the offseason he should be .....
In next year: Kulich, Savoie, maybe a UFA forward, UFA RD, Maybe Johnson
Out next year: Oloffson (traded), Okposo (retired?), Girgs (maybe not re-signed, but, i think I want him back), Bryson (please go)
Girgensons and Okposo are fine in their roles, the issue was the coach overplaying them.
Whether he didn’t trust the Mitts/Jost/Greenway line or didn’t want to throw the kids out there, that line played too much tonight.
As a shutdown line though, they adequately did their job - Swedish_Jesus
Mitts had probably the two best chances in the 3rd. He delayed too long on his first opportunity. Than he had a chance on the backhand with the top of the net open and lifted it into the crowd. I know he's improved but he doesn't bury a lot of chances.

He has 1 goal in his last 23 games. - Carlo
Had a great pass to Tuch seconds after being added to his line, just wasn't able to bury it. His shooting needs work right now but man he's got some silky passes
