Since Jan 1st...
Mitts 3 goals.
Boosh 2 goals.
With Tage out we want to elevate Mitts to 1st line.
Greenway here for a cup of coffee, gets tried on 1st line.
Krebs stuck with 2 boat anchors, and gives it his all, never seeing 1st line.

There's that ting called assists and Miits ahs definitely been one of our best forwards sicne the allstar break

This projected roster is not good enough at forward, and likely wouldn't be the following (24-25) season either.
A nice improvement on defense and in goal, but they need to stop waiting years and years for all prospects to fully bloom, if they even do.
- kingcong39
4th in the league in scoring isn't good enough? Maybe we do add another piece via trade or UFA but we'll also be adding Kulich, Savoie and maybe Rousek & Rosen next year too. Yes young, but a lot more skill than the Girgs/Okposo's of the world |

Hockey has evolved so much since then though. The mental side alone is so much more of a grind now.
With the adaptation of load management I think the days of a goalie playing 60+ are all but over, except on rare occasions. - ImThatGuy
yeah but you just moved the goalpost from 50 games, when the conversation started, to 60 games now

all gonna play 60 or more this year which is 25 percent of the starters
another 5 gonna play at least 55 games
it is moving to a rb situation though in the nfl, where you want 2 decent guys |

I’d say they need to acquire a guy like Demko.
Levi is only used to playing about 35 games at a lower level of competition. Throwing him out there for an entire season of 50 games probably isn’t great - ImThatGuy
No way they are trading for a goalie with a 5 mil contract. Has the past 5-7 years not proved tat to you.
They will go with Levi & UPL next year.

No one wants to elevate him to the first line so I am not sure where you are getting that from.
Did you know Tage was hurt and thats why he played on the first line? And he filled in admirably and Tage came back so he went back to the third line.
Krebs has 1 assist in his last 5 games and no goals in his last 10 and you want to elevate him to the 1st line. Thats more confusing. - sabresfan69
To be fair he helps a player get 7 shots on net, he can’t help that it’s girgenson taking the shots. |

So if I get this right
Krebs crappy stats are everyone else's fault.
Mitts not scoring more goals is his fault.
Krebs can't drive a line or produce offense himself but you want to elevate him.
Mitts is capable of making plays and producing points and he shouldn't be elevated.
Is that about right? |

Donnie has his favorites and it's been a bit of an issue at time.
Mitts vs Lyubushkin and Krebs 1st line is stretching things a bit.
Giving Greenway a brief look on the top line only bothers me because the games were so significant.

Gotta love Alex Lyon saving 4 goals above expected last night.
Freaking nobody turns in a Hasek performance and ends our season. |

Looked shaky at the start too. The offsides really swung that game.

One game is not a statistical generating data set even given the importance of the game |

And Levi and Johnson aren't signing.
Stating opinons of the future as if they are current absolute facts isn't really working so well for you. |

Nah.
I'd say give Krebs 3 more seasons for a more relevant comparison. |

Good post
You know who played last night, that I didn't even notice....
Sam reinfart.
What a bashful soft game. He's been on a huge roll lately.
Its just one game, but girgensons outplayed reinfart with both teams playoff Hope's on the line... |

As young as this team is with plenty of time for growth, it is concerning that the team has failed to get the results they needed in big games.
They need a couple money players to emerge or acquire. Where are the Closers? |

To me I just want a better solution than UPL if Levi stumbles a bit next season. I’d hedge my bets on him playing 50 next year. If he can, great. If not, UPL would need a drastic improvement.
I don’t care who that is, bring a guy in who can compete 1A/1B

Going with the assumption that Johnson signs once the Final 4 is over:
Skinner-Tage-Tuch
Peterka-Cozens-Quinn
Engvall-Mitts/Krebs-Savoie
Girgensons-Krebs/Mitts-Greenway
Rousek, Biro as extras
Dahlin-Samuelsson
Power- Trade/FA
Johnson-Lybushkin
Stillman, Joker as extras
Varlamov
Levi
Kulich back to Roch but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s up by mid-season if he is lighting the world on fire.
Pierre Engvall or a free agent signing of that elk makes too much sense. A guy that can play top 6 minutes or a 4th line role is invaluable in the instance Peterka doesn’t take the next step.
I figure they go the UFA route in net. Varlamov/Andersen/Raanta all make sense from that standpoint.

With UPL not being waiver exempt kinda puts a wrench in things IMO Comrie is least likely to get claimed. |

It's tough messing around with waivers on goalies. They frequently get claimed because someone is always dealing with injuries. When they do, you can end up in a lot of trouble. No issue planning to waive Comrie, but you need someone else capable of playing too. Maybe it's Suban again.
