There's a full roster of NHL players already here and under contract. Any of them coming back shouldn't surprise. VO is probably the least likely, and even him coming back shouldn't surprise.
I'm prepared for a less active offseason than I'd like. Slow and internal is their way. - Lunaion
Can't do that with the Defense though, they really need to make a few moves there. |

7D + RFA Clague + Johnson. Option is there to make no moves.
Can't imagine KA telling us how much they like Joker and reminding how young he still is?

Clauge and Bryson both are the same player. They suck.
Joker isn’t far behind. He has regressed big time |

Depth guys are depth guys for a reason.
Don't think Joker has regressed, more than he just never really improved.
Like I said, I want them to make a move, just prepared for the possibility that they don't.

As young as this team is with plenty of time for growth, it is concerning that the team has failed to get the results they needed in big games.
They need a couple money players to emerge or acquire. Where are the Closers? - IonSabres
learning to play in the NHL...they are in their 20's and more are coming... Youngest team in the NHL... and we are still not out of the playoff's technically what a fun season. |

Definitely will be a “time to make the playoffs “ year
James Reimer sounds like what you describe.
How were your seats? - Ratsreign
Great seats, met some friends from buffalo for the game and dinner before.
Sat in 108 , sabres shoot 2x.
Thank you for the PM and the advice on parking, saved me $35 and it was a very comfortable walk from the mall.
Cool arena, tough loss. 🙄 |

I very much doubt olofsson being on this team next season.
Playoff type game yesterday, healthy scratch.
We're gonna be a better, more complete team next season. Doubt theres room for him.
That said, jost took 2 really stupid penalties.
Could have used a guy that scores last night. |

That's the catch, we don't want to dress him, so who's willing to take on a 4.75m contract? Would they retain to move him, or just bring him back? Move all the Swedes, then try to get Dahlin to extend?

Does anything happen on that front until there's a clearer picture on Dahlin. Think Dahlin is a huge part of the off-season regards to his contract, could tell some things. |

I know they can't sign him, but gotta think they've already spoken. If they haven't gotten anywhere, it can't put your offseason on hold. Best trade opportunity is before he can sign.

Is it in July they can actually sign him to a extension. No they can't, but does it change the thought process if those talks aren't where they need to be. |

Excellent point. Dahlin and power. Then the core is locked up for a decent number of years.
Then Adams will be good to spend and figure things out |

What if Kulich puts his foot in the 3C battle, he has been playing there. |

instead of rounding out the roster with guys not suited for that roll
ex olofsson on the third line'
get a proven third liner and pk'er like fast or j staal for that line
instead of pissing away close to 2 mil on bryson, get a legit bottom pair d man
etc |

Amerks tied 2-2 with about a minute left in the 3rd. Kulich with a helper on Biro's goal. |

NFL Network recently presented a mock trade that would involve multiple draft picks, but would hypothetically end with Hopkins in a Bills uniform.
Here's the trade:
Bills receive:
- WR DeAndre Hopkins
- 2023 No. 3 overall pick
Cardinals receive:
- DE Greg Rousseau
- 2023 No. 27 overall pick
- 2023 No. 59 overall pick
- 2024 First-Round Pick
-2024 Second-Round Pick
If the Bills want to go all in for a Super Bowl this season - which is essentially the expectation in Buffalo - than this deal is definitely one that general manager Brandon Beane would have to at least consider.
With the No. 3 pick. the Bills could target a defensive star like Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. and add him to a defense that already features Von Miller and Matt Milano. Who better for the rookie to learn from than those two?
And adding Hopkins speaks for itself. |

Good point with the contract. 1 year left at least.
Maybe a team like Arizona?
Sabres retain 1 million, olofsson and a 3rd. For a 7th.
Az can retain/ broker a deal and make him viable.
Olofsson's played himself off this team IMO. Coaches healthy scratch....
Dahlin seems like a businessman 1st, and a swede 2nd 🤔

You know... those 2 games in hand are still huge. I personally dont necessarily think the playoffs are dead for the Sabres yet. I have seen stranger things happrn...
