I'll miss Coates.
Being familiar with folks you never met is one of the oddities of modern life.
Thankfully, considering the length of his career, I heard much of it.
Seems to be a good man and I'll be sorry to forget him.
But I know I will.

Real fear is passing Detroit, their schedule is tough down the stretch. We need a couple loses. The fan would love to see TK and Coots, practical side does not

Coatesy was always the loveable clown of the Flyers. A total homer in every respect, yet still not as obnoxious as the worst homer in the history of homers, Jack Edwards in Boston.

get rtying him around the lineup and shouldn't be on the top line. but lemieux with hayes, didn't look good last game. thought he played well with frost getting on the forecheck and knocking the puck loose.

a couple games against tougher comp, but then some not. will come down to the last few games.

We like seeing the kids get NHL experience and gain confidence, but it would be nice to get on a losing streak. The Flyers will face some tough competition the rest of the season, except for Chicago and Columbus. I doubt we will get the 5th of 6th pick with Arizona and Montreal 4 and 5 points below us, plus the Flyers have 2 games in hand on both teams. I know it would be a good idea to get a short evaluation on TK and Couts before the season ends, but I just hope it doesn't screw up our draft pick spot?

There were a few articles in the last few weeks talking about the possibility of him returning, so I presume it was an actual possibility, hence the need for an official announcement. I believe had returned to practice with team in Vorhees.

Yeah, I thought it was already known that he isn't gonna play this year. I hope it doesn't mean that he already tweaked his back or something and isn't going to be skating. That wouldn't be good.

seemed like a week or two ago they were saying he was ahead of tk. then the videos of him practicing saying he was the best player on the ice. but good. no need for this season.

Right! Like Coots looked so optimistic and happy. Cut scene. “He’s losing his mind” -John Tortorella. Torts really sounded like he wanted nothing to do with Couturier.

Really hope they sign Alexis Gendron to an entry level contract. Can his scoring ability translate to the pros? Very interesting prospect.
