Frost has a good chance of finishing the year as a 20 goal/45 point player. He is getting 3.5 aav or more, especially in light of some recent deals signed. Filip Chytil comes to mind immediately. His AAV is 4.43 aav. And that is for 22 goals and 43 points. - MBFlyerfan
Not bad for an AHL player. |

All those posts about how Frost was another Jason Akeson and he's already cracked 40 points in his first full NHL season. - Feanor
Has anyone around here dropped this name within the last year or is this entire post fiction on a Sunday? I can’t remember the last time Akeson has come up. |

The road blocks this team put in front of him? You’ve complained about Torts usage of him all year long. So if it’s not the coach holding him back what is it, in your opinion?
If you’re going to call injuries a roadblock the team put in front of him - did the team hold him down and injure him?
Help me understand, I am capable.

This idea that Frost needs to more assertive is a myth that you created. It's simply been an attempt by you to justify the ludicrous opinion that you had that Frost is an AHL player. The truth and reality is that Frost has been playing well going back to last season. The only road block was the fool coach refusing to use him properly in the beginning of the season as well as Yeo last season. - MJL

That's incorrect. I have not complained about Tortorella's usage of Frost all season long. I didn't say that he is being held back now. What I've said is that Frost has progressed and grown as a player. Despite the road blocks put in his way.

Of course his injury wasn't caused by the team but that was one of them. Mike Yeo insisted that Frost play with lower skilled linemates to work on other areas of his game. That his points and offensive game would come. That is archaic player development strategy. Top teams don't develop players like that. Let the player play with his strengths in the right situations. Don't take away his confidence. A player can play to his strengths in the best situations for that player to use his strengths while also working on other areas of his game. Tortorella continued that in the beginning of this season for some unknown reason. In my opinion, Frost would be furhter along as a player, if that wasn't done. Frost is an offensive players, who needs to play with skilled players, in offensive situations. |

Gotta love TK. Totally meaningless game and he’s fired up. The way he plays gets the whole team going. I’d hate to see him traded. I wish Hayes had half his heart. |

Frost has been steadily figuring things out
and improving steadily since he came off of his injury year. Despite the road blocks placed on him by his team.
Tortorella has done more to hold Frost back than to help him. Tortorella is a mediocre coach. You claimed that Frost is an AHL player. Claimed he was a lazy player. You have no standing to tell anyone they are wrong. Frost to his credit is developing into a fine player despite all the roadblocks put in his way.
This idea that Frost needs to more assertive is a myth that you created. It's simply been an attempt by you to justify the ludicrous opinion that you had that Frost is an AHL player. Am I reading this right, Frost success is his and his alone but this misgivings are strictly his coach’s? - Hosher12

His surgery was very similiar to Eichel's. Eichel's first season post surgery he was .73 pts/gm.
This season is Eichel's second season post surgery and he is back to his career avg. as a PPG. I would expect Farabee to return to closer to his career PPG avg. next season. |

Beautiful one time pass by Frost to set up Konecny. Love the way Konecny jumped into that hole. |

Well you are directly contradicting yourself. And I’m trying to understand. What you’ve written in this thread is at odds with your answer to Hosher12

Never know if an offer is made that they can't refuse but I don't believe that the Flyers are going to shop Konecny. |

That's not correct at all. My read is that Hosher12 is implying that I have said that Frost's success on the ice is due to Frost and whatever mistakes he makes is on the coach. That is not at all what I have said. How am I contradicting myself?

I thought Ersson was very good this game. That fluky goal was unfortunate. Not sure what they do with Hart this summer. |

and yet any progress Frost makes is due to Frost despite his coach? |
