and yet any progress Frost makes is due to Frost despite his coach? - black_francis
Coaching decisions that both Yeo and Tortorella made in how they used Frost, not for the entire season in Tortorella's case, in my opinion, delayed Frost's growth and ascension as a player. Frost, despite those road blocks as well as the injury where he lost almost a full season, had grown into a pretty good player, who is getting better and better. |

Does JVR get more then a tryout contract at training camp? The JVR- Hayes- Bellows line looks so disinterested. |

So in other words, his coaches are to blame for hurting his game but Frost breaks through and succeeds out of sheer tyranny of will? |

There is no other words. There is only what I have actually said. Disagree if you want and make a counter point and we can discuss it. |

Frost has been steadily figuring things out
and improving steadily since he came off of his injury year. Despite the road blocks placed on him by his team.
Tortorella has done more to hold Frost back than to help him. Tortorella is a mediocre coach. You claimed that Frost is an AHL player. Claimed he was a lazy player. You have no standing to tell anyone they are wrong. Frost to his credit is developing into a fine player despite all the roadblocks put in his way.
This idea that Frost needs to more assertive is a myth that you created. It's simply been an attempt by you to justify the ludicrous opinion that you had that Frost is an AHL player. The truth and reality is that Frost has been playing well going back to last season. The only road block was the fool coach refusing to use him properly in the beginning of the season as well as Yeo last season.

Am I reading this right, Frost success is his and his alone but this misgivings are strictly his coach’s?

No you aren't.

Ok my point is you are still contradicting yourself. I’m only citing what you’ve written here today, which I gotta say isn’t making a ton of sense. That’s my disagreement.
Do you care to address the bolded in all of your quotes? |

Beautiful one time pass by Frost to set up Konecny. Love the way Konecny jumped into that hole. - MJL

If you continue to repost my posts, say that I'm contradicting myself without actually stating how I am contradicting myself, then as far as I'm concerned the conversation is over. I have no need to address the bolded. |

You're not making a good faith attempt to have a conversation. There is no contradiction. To be extremely clear to you, if you disagree, then state your case and specifically post how you think I'm contradicting myself and we can then discuss it. Last reply otherwise.

LOL, actually it is you who has come up small and you refuse to elaborate on why you think I'm contradicting myself. As the "accuser", the burden is on you to make your case. The opportunity is actually yours and if your disingenuous approach continues. There will be no further opportunity. |

You don't have a case. If you did, you would make it. What you have is a lack of understanding of what is being said. |

No .. No ... that goal was strictly due to Frost overcoming all the road blocks the current and previous coaching staff put in front of him, lead by Torts, the archaic dinosaur coach! |

You want a judgement, here's my judment:
On the charge of 1st degree being dilusional we find the defendant, MJL, Guilty!! |

|
Come on folks, really!
I actually agree with MJL on the Frost development so maybe I can help. Torts has done a fine job of pushing Frost and putting him in situations to grow for much of this season (outside that first 10-12 games.) The coaches are not responsible for Frost mistakes, but it is counterproductive to play him in a role that doesn’t play to his strengths. Yeo’s method was dumb, IMO. Torts didn’t stick to that so he gets credit, and Frost gets credit for overcoming the obstacles. |

You can't even correctly tell who Frost's linemates were in a recent game. |

Correct. Frost's development as a player was delayed mostly by Yeo and some by Tortorella. Frost made strong strides last season once he was put with good linemates. For some unknown reason, Tortorella discontinued that in the early part of the season. Frost would be further along in his development at this point if that hadn't happened in my opinion. We could be looking at a 50+ point season for Frost. |

Actually I'm just going for the case of having a discussion but you don't seem to want one. You just want to make accusations. |
