Our last guy from Gatineau was pretty good š„² - ClaudeFather
If they don't offer him a contract to be able to see what he is capable of at the next level then I will be disappointed. Lets at least find out if it translates. Swing for the fences. He deserves a contract more than soke of the other crap taking up a spot |

This is the Flyers.... you'd think that is a no Brainerd. It was recently too but didn't they pass up on another kid who put up good numbers?
Man I wish my memory wasn't so bad. All of those drugs have caught up to me, damn it |

Gendron another playoff hatty. Dude is on fire. |
|

Alexis Gendron now 6 goals in the playoffs, over 60 goals total for the season. Yes, QMJHL is an offensive league, but for a 7th rd pick get this young player signed and see what happens when h turns pro. - Trox88
Yeah but he's the son of a Flyers scout and there is no room for nepotism here. š

The only thing I can figure is that they must have ruled that it hit in off of his glove before he reached out to try and bat it in. I'm just grasping here. It just seems like a clear cut missed call even with video review. - MJL
It wasnāt clear to me if it deflected off part of his arm or what, but he didnāt direct it. After that, trying to bat at it, isnāt batting it. Not a good look to review it and say it was batted when contact isnāt made on video.

I know for a fact that some of the guys on Sirius/XM NHL Network hate the Flyers. I just don't know how you can look at that slow motion replay and waive off that goal. The puck bounced off of him and then he tried to swat it into the goal, but missed. GOOD GOAL!!

We rarely get the benefit of the doubt. Gotta love that Toronto makes the call.

It's just depressing that we are so bad that we don't warrant a next day recap. I can't wait till (?) years from now that we are relevant. |

he really is our heads rent free, he has to be paid by hockey buzz to say stuff that gets a response. - wcorvette
No, but now that you say it, I should get paid for classing this place up as much as I do. No sports take is a bad take, especially if its one that causes so much discussion. Everyone on here is so sensative to Michkov for some reason, like he's a relative or something. "NO ..NO ... HE IS AS GOOD AS BEDARD, HE WILL NOT DROP IN THE DRAFT .. YOU'RE CRAZY!!" People, get a life for yourselves! I happen to believe that the current status with Russia and the US will impact the drafting the Russian players. Some of you disagree .. FINE .. We'll see what happens at the draft. |

In terms of history, what you're saying is 100% correct. Just have to keep in mind that things could be drastically different in the world in a year or two. - MJL
Year or two .. it happening right now! The value of the US dollar is dropping, the Russian Rupee is strong. Russia, India, China and other countries are now starting to trade in currencies other than the US dollar for the first time. Russian players at one time couldn't wait to get to the US and Canada to make money, but that incentive is rapidly going away. More and more Russian players are signing KHL contracts because the money is good. I'll state it again, if I'm the Flyers I stay away from Michkov. |

I thought Fantilli was practically invisible in the WJC's until the final game. And even then he wasnt all that noticeable IMO. Agree to disagree there. - MBFlyerfan
His scoring was down in the WJCs because honestly he didn't get much puck luck, but I thought he was visible and making plays in the games that I watched, but admittedly I didn't see every Canada game, I was watching the US games more. |

Can't wait! No matter what your prospective is, the Great One, MJL will surely have a rebuttal! God forbid someone on a message board expresses his/her opinion other than that of the Great One. You will be labeled as a fool, idiot, petulant child, or embarrassing yourself. Hexy rules, Frosty is king, Torts is archaic, ND is a neanderthal....did I miss anything?

To all who grew up in the 70ās and loved the Broad Street Bullies. I believe it to be hypocritical that they got to enjoy that time but our new generation who have heard all the stories of their legend arenāt allowed to enjoy the one or two tough guys we get today because āthe game has evolvedā. Sure it has, as all things do but hockey is entertainment first. Weāre not in a position to become successful. All the kids who needed a look in the NHL got their look in the NHL. Nobody has blocked anyone. The youth will see even more opportunities (depending on future transactions) next season with the fat promised to be trimmed by management. |

Coots turning 30 years old is ABSOLUTELY a player you sign for 8 years and build around? |

Yes, every rebuttal is never well thought out, and he can't make it. For a guy who is have never got past street hockey, its comical. |

I won't even lie.. I've been thinking that lately. He made some solid picks but that also gets credited to the scouts and his assistant GM.
We will see if that trend continues now that he is gone and if it does, then the credit goes to flahr.
But I agree that some of his mid and late round picks have looked to be pretty solid.
I still think he really F'd up taking cutter over jiricek though, but only time will tell now - Bob Habib
You also need to keep in mind that this year is the first year that the Flyers semi committed to a youth movement. I think young players will receive more opportunities with the Flyers over the next few years. Young players did not have a lot of opportunities in the recent past with the Flyers. Some of it is the players maybe were not good enough. Some of it was the organization trying to win now and not getting young players reps at the NHL level. |

Why does that matter? I have played, coached and officiated hockey over the last 30 years. Does that make my opinion more valid? |

Your take that people are so sensitive is not accurate. There was a draft discussion ongoing. Michkov was part of that. You said something absurd. Just a daily occurrence. |
