That is a solid point
I didn't realize how young he was. But I'd still expect better of him given all of the hype about him. If not for bedard he could be the first overall pick
Was he that overpowered by kids a year older than him?
How old was bedard at the WJCs?
It was just odd to see the projected #2 overall pick playing on the 4th line.
Even with playijg on the 4th line, his stock has held up pretty well since then - Bob Habib
Bedard is clearly the best player in the world not playing in the NHL. He is an outlier of the grandest proportion.
Fantilli is the player everyone thinks he is and what happened to him at the WJC as an 18 year old is pretty standard for a kid at his age and pedigree. He was playing behind the #3, and #4 picks from the previous year's draft. (Cooley and Shane Wright) so believe me when I say it was not an odd situation in any way. In fact every guy on the team was a drafted player except for Bedard and Fantilli if memory serves. |

I'll chime in that yes I can agree with him that Michkov may fall a few spots because of the three year wait and the uncertainty in that part of the world. But when he states that Michkov will fall out of the first round. That is where it gets preposterous. There is no way 32 teams pass on this guy.
Of course people are going to jump on that very unequivocal statement. - MBFlyerfan
Oh, I agree with you and the opinion sways heavily in that direction when you consider some teams have multiple first round picks.

Had a nice conversation with ChatGPT about Michkov, Russian hockey players in general, their desire to still play in the NHL and any restrictions that might be coming. In the end we concluded Michkov has expressed a desire to play in the NHL and the feeling is he will not be stopped ultimately from doing so, though negotiations will be needed. ChaptGPT also concluded that "While it is still early in his career, Michkov's similarities to Ovechkin have led many analysts to predict that he could become a top-level NHL player in the future, and potentially even a superstar in the mold of Ovechkin himself." So with this, I hope he drops a bit so the Flyers can draft him. |

Along the lines of what NC FLyers fan posted. You can't say that people need to lighten up and have more fun in life while simultaneously posting that other posts are not well thought out and question their experience level. - MJL

while I enjoy watching the back and fourth and have no issue with all or anyone's opinion, and I don't keep score, you seem to be more wrong than right, you seem to waffle more than most. - wcorvette
I don't keep track at all actually. When you go out on a limb like I do you are going to be more wrong than right, that's just reality. I've said along with Frost for example, even though it did not appear to me it would ever click for him, that I hoped I was wrong because first and foremost I am a Flyers fan and want the team to succeed, and hitting on a 1st round pick is essential. At the same time, its still too early IMO to declare what Frost is going to be. He has progressed throughout this season, but who knows if he can sustain it or better yet, improve further. Pople got all excited about Farabee when he scored 20 goals in a season, and look what has happened since. Coming into this season TK was a question mark; could he even be a 30 goal scorer? How would he mesh with Torts? Well we got our answer, Tort's loves him and yes he is clearly a 30+ goal scorer. So you never know until a player develops and in some cases, players take much longer than others. |

thanks and I agree, its quite entertaining to see all the noise I cause. I like the advice Hannibal offered Clarice, people need to have more fun in life. - jd250
“Fun” is a term not best defined by a cannibalistic serial killer. Fascinating reference.

I wonder if STL could be a trade partner for Provy. They have multiple 1st rd picks and cleared cap room at the deadline. |

Yes, I also appreciated the irony in that statement ... |

It's not about going out on a limb. It's about being uninformed and lacking knowledge. |

I think someone planted an idea in his head so now he's running with it in an attempt to deflect from the reality of his posting, |
