Playoff mode game, one of the best, most complete games of the season, all without Kane. Crazy. - nyrangers9479
Rangers record since trading for Kane: 11 wins 6 losses. You can't have it both ways. |

so if Kane fails, which pretty much translates to the Rangers failing, we will all be absolutely miserable in here and in addition you are promising to rub everyone's noses in it too

Marty St. Louis was also mediocre during the regular season. He was very good during the post season with some amazingly timely goals but had 15 points in 25 games. Not a stretch to say Kane will have a better PPG pace. |

Fox got a similar fine for slashing Perry. NHLers lining up to reimburse Fox. |

If if he has similar production, fine. You know what made that team good? They had 3 lines that could score. No offense to Andrew Copp, bit even now, he ain't Patrick Kane. |

16-5-3 before they got Kane, we were doing just fine without him. |

but acquiring him put Vesey on 4th line, and we now can run a 4th line against anyone's 4th line in league

The Rangers should have argued that Shesterkin was interfered with. He was pushed into the net by Cirelli (stick-on-pad) before he had a chance to make the save on Hagel's follow-up and Cirelli wasn't pushed in by the Ranger d-man. |

None of what you say matters with your irrational hatred for a player that their success or failure will not hinge on. He is a complimentary piece. Not being relied on to be the man.
I have my issues with the team too. I have an irrational problem with Gallant often but I don't annoy people with it here. I know he wouldn't be the only reason the team succeeds or fails. I also have hatred for some of their past players, see Hunt, Dryden. Michael Del Zotto etc.
I know I annoyed people with Hunt hatred but that was more with his deployment and we are back to being annoyed at Gallant. Sometimes you just have to let it go and enjoy the team and the fact that they are once again putting together a memorable season with what looks to be a higher power offense heading into the postseason. The are arguably (in my opinion objectively) a better team than last year. I'm just trying to enjoy the ride and try not to pick apart their wins and losses at this point.
At what point does watching a team you supposedly love to cheer for become something that you no longer enjoy? That's not a question just for you, it's something I have to ask myself sometimes. It's like a defense mechanism so that you can pretend to not be as upset as you normally would when/if they exit the playoffs before we thought they would. We are coming to the most stressful part of the season, it is going to suck sometimes. |

I was mad at the time, but the team stuck up for Shesty and we ultimately won the game. |

Guys are banged up, if we could get guys some extra rest we wouldn’t? But even if we needed to, we can’t. 82 games will wear anyone down. Guys playing with things we don’t even know about. - nyrangers9479
Not for nothing, how many players could we have traded for in order to rest guys? Kanes Cap is around 2.6, which is very low considering his ceiling on this team. 10 points 16 games isnt too bad. How many 2nd line players could we get for lets say 1.5m???
We got a possible game changer for a few draft picks, it was worth the gamble IMO. We just have to hope this LBI isnt his hip. At his pace he is a 50 point player. Not too shabby for a 2.5 Cap hit. |
