He’s not skilled enough anymore to make up for his deficiency’s in the other parts of his game. If he’s not scoring he brings nothing to the table. And 34 year old Kane doesn’t score the way 26 year old Kane did.

Agreed all around. This team isn’t soft. Toughness comes in many shapes and sizes, not just grit.

The Rangers don't need him to. They just need him to pass the puck to Kreider and Zibanejad. Then let the AVV line and the kid provide the depth. Pretty simple.
