Yes because those moves might not have benefited the Sabres more. It's working out that there in the same place we are. Not in the playoffs, doesn't mean if the Sabres get those players there not in the playoffs right now. - Buff36

that is the 50 dollar question
if adams does next to nothing this summer, will those that defend him on everything keep the company line, or join the dark side which has cookies - homiedclown
Speaking for myself only,
Over Adams' tenure I have moved from being very low on him initially to being relatively high on him now.
I give him a Mulligan in year 1 based on the circumstances he came in under of having to fire 90% of the Hockey Ops staff and having to start from scratch to rebuild it. That journey is starting to payoff with the Prospect Pipeline and young talent that has graduated to the NHL at different levels of success.
I love the Granato hire, but recognize as well he and his Staff need to improve in various areas. But their is no denying his impact on Tage, Tuch, Skinner, Cozens, Quinn, Mitts, Krebs, Dahlin, Samuelsson, Power...and to lesser degrees so far JJP, UPL. |

Super fun high scoring team with oodles of prospects...
This is a very likeable group of guys IMO.
You really think these young defenseman like rookie owen power and less then 100 nhl games samuelsson was gonna make a push.... interesting view. - Boss34
when power looks nothing like a rookie
you adjust your timeline IMO
if your not going to do it for the owner, or the fans, do it for the young core you are suppose to be building a cup contender around
and to be a cup contender, you have to get to the dance and keep getting into the dance |

Your like a Fat Kid in a Candy store when Mommy says No. You get mad and Angry and go after people when people don't agree with your Crap. - Buff36
I think your the fat kid in this scenario.
You wanted the cat, kuemper, chickenrun then cried š
Its just a debate... |

does this not fall on the gm though?
grab a decent goalie on a 1 year deal and a decent d man on a 1 year deal instead of anderson, bishop, bryson
if you just did those 2 things, I doubt you see half the people complaining
I felt like adams waived the white flag on the season before the puck dropped and IMO sends a bad message to a team with over a decade culture of losing - homiedclown
Yes it does.
But many times this season when things were good, heard it was Botts team. Pretty sure even from you.
You see he waived the white flag. I see he believed in the kids.

Good question. Long season. Everyone exhausted
I took a break from here for a few weeks also. Too toxic. |

Kevyn Adamsā job is to win a Stanley Cup.
Not make a bunch of moves to end a playoff drought that he had no part of the first 8 years.
His first year here he tried to win, he signed Hall, he went for it. It didnāt work out.
We then dealt Risto, Eichel, Sam and started over and we are playing a meaningful game in April tomorrow at 12:30.
He wants to push his chips to the middle of the table when he has a better hand to play, I donāt blame him.
There were no moves that made this team a cup contender this year. As much as it would have been nice to end the drought, in the grand scheme of things it means Jack $hit for future seasons |

Who asked for a Cup Contender, think most wanted playoffs. And moves made know can help future seasons. |

Two of Toronto, Tampa, NJ, NYR have a good chance of not winning a playoff series next yearā¦. Is it really the year to go for it next year?
Also something something playoff experience. |

Itās wild that not making the playoffs can be argued as a good thing, 12 years of losing will do that I guess. |

Thirtysixensons would be having a coronary everyday around here.
They obviously adjusted the time line with dahlin. Vs svenokov...
That's the predicament were in now

He is a worse version of Krebs, it was a horrible pick.
5ā11ā 170lbs a perimeter player with no outstanding skills. You picked 6th rounder at 14. The Risto trade was almost great. - washedup20

it will be an interesting off season and I think we will know direction before the first day of free agency begins - homiedclown
Draft Reinbacher
Sign Dahlin long-term
Lockup Power
Get Power's partner for 2 -3 years
Get a G to share the net with Levi
I'd be ok with that activity list this offseason. |

Think that 2nd one is huge, and will really show how things have changed. Think Dahlin is a huge part of this offseason. |

Specific to Meier, this just isn't true. That was a missed opportunity that would have had Tuch-ish impact for the next 7 years. |
