I wish Provy the best on his new team, just like G. I have a feeling Provy will have a similiar career resurgence. I don't think it is outlandish that a player would get beat down in a deteriorating team environment. Certainly, not a stretch that over the last decade the team environment has been abysmal |

Depending on how players drop, at #7 I am in Cristall camp. - Glak18
That would be quite a home run swing. He's got Michkov/Bedard level skill. |

Why is his ranking all over the place? Skating? Injury? |

The biggest question seems to be whether his game will be translatable to the pros or not. Compete, consistency are kind of all over the place. Small and not the fastest. Kinda wonder if he'll be able to hot dog his way to NHL stardom or not w/o a lot of refinement and maturity.
Still, the upside is incredible. |

Interesting, so safe to assume if Dvorsky is a safe pick with high floor, Cristall is more the type of potential.star or Nail Yakupov career arc. |

I'd compare Cristall to how William Nylander was viewed on draft day. |

That # 7 pick gonna save the franchise.
Imagine sitting through year after year of this bullpoop and not adding a single franchise player through the draft.

I don't know what you are looking at, but I see a team that will be much improved next year with good young players, and with at least 2 high draft picks coming the following season. I'm pretty excited about the future of this team. |

Amen to that. I pray for either that, or we somehow get the "NJ bounce" from last year when they moved up 3 spots to #2. I would be happy to move up 1 or 2 spots to have a chance at Zack Benson.

If the league was smart they would fix the lottery so Chicago, Philly and Montreal get the top picks. Burrying a player like Bedard in Anaheim, San Jose or Arizona is completey criminal! |

Only 2 ping pong balls get picked....#1 and #2 spots are open to lottery, can not move up more than 10 spots.

The Flyers could be a better team next year. Have to see what moves they make this off season. If they are, that means that last year and this upcoming draft were their best chance at drafting an elite player. They better hit. If they're improved, that means lower draft picks. Flyers already have plenty of complimentary players. They need elite players. |

Arizona's never picked top-2 in their franchise's entire existence. Safe to say it ain't happening for them this year either.
Bedard in Anaheim would actually be kinda awesome. |

The difference is that Giroux always played well. They wanted him to move to wing and boom, he's the best wing on the team. It didn't matter the how bad the team was he still played great. Konecny is on the same team as Provorov and he still performs to his ability. Provorov is supposed to be one of the players who elevates this team. His poor play is on him. If he wants out so much he should be showing other teams that he's worth that $6.7 mil he's being paid. |

Two original 6’s and Philly? Why Philly? San Jose has a great fan base. High tech people from all over the country have relocated there and become season ticket holders.

Flyers' only chance at the moment is #1, #2, #7 to #9. They move down if someone under them moves up to #1 or #2. They have a small chance of moving up to #6 if the Habs keep wining and Flyers keep losing. |

Yeah, there's a poop load of corporate money in that area and Bedard could be the key to cranking open that firehose.
Anaheim, being in the 2nd biggest NA media market, would be a huge win for the NHL too. They're already marketing the hell out of Zegras. Adding Bedard on top of that might replicate the kind of interest boom they got from Gretzky being traded to LA.
Montreal is probably the league's nightmare scenario. |

As much as I am a Flyers fan I think Bedard would thrive in Anaheim with Zegras and their other prospects. And San Jose does have an enthusiastic fan base with the "shark tank" etc.
I favor modesty in the hope of moving up a couple spots to draft at 5, have a better shot of drafting a more skilled playmaker. #7 is another rung below the 2/3/4 picks.

Columbus wouldn’t be a great landing spot for Bedard either.

Flyers should get a stud with where they’re picking. The guy they want at #5 could be there at #7. If not, the player ‘lost’ may not turn out as good as the one they get.

Montreal, Columbus and Arizona would be giant disappointments for me personally, not just for Bedard, but winning the lottery (1 or 2).
Sadly I just have this gut feeling, bit of a conspiracy theory, that Montreal wins the lotto. Hopefully it does not happen, but if it does it confirms my theory even more.
