Lines today:
Palat-Nico-Bratt
Haula-Jack-Tatar
Timo-McLeod-Mercer
Sharangovich/Wood-Lazar/Boqvist-Bastian
(Wood-Lazar-Bastian was the primary 4th line in rushes, so seems like Sharangovich/Boqvist would be the scratches and Wood stays in)
Siegs-Dougie
Graves-Marino
Smith-Sevo
Luke-Bahl as the extras

This is exactly it!
Let us play our game….we are faster & more skilled than the Rangers. Let us use that.
Couldn’t agree more. - Jazzmaster30
Faster....yes...more skilled?! Have you looked at the NYRs lineup. Pretty skilled..lmao |

Sounds to me like you think the rangers have nothing to do with the two wins it’s all on the devils for not playing well incould be wrong though. - Bobd62
No i don't think that at all. Rangers are doing a great job at clogging up the passing lanes, blocking shots and limiting our shots on goal which is frustrating the Devs.
Devs have the ability to counter that, they just aren't doing that yet. They've shown that ability in spurts during the first two games but nothing really sustained over the course of the games. |

Probably, but we could win the Stanley Cup before we get a new blog....
Just saying.

The most infuriating part is that we aren't even playing the style that made us one of the best teams in the league. It's like they used the few days off before game 1 to completely change their game plan of how they want to play, to match a prototypical "playoff style" instead of playing to their strengths. This isn't the same team that just won 52 games, not even close. - vlongo4419
They cant play their style Rangers wont let them. Hitting them every chance they can and forechecking them to death |

Not necessarily. From the moment puck dropped game 1, they've been playing a completely different style. It's evident to everybody that they've changed their gameplan in between the end of the regular season and the start of game 1 to fit a more prototypical "playoff style." Whether it's on the coaching staff or players, or both, they believed the narrative that their style wouldn't work in the playoffs and tried to change. I'm putting that blame on Ruff, just based off his comments for why he's made certain lineup decisions. |

I’ve said that for this team to take the next step Ruff needs to go. This joke of a series only makes me more confident he’s part of the problem. Thanks for what you’ve done, but they need a believer and a killer. Too many passive coaches in recent history. Time to get someone with some energy and conviction. I won’t hold my breath. |

Comets take game 2 2-1 over Laval in OT after Walsh tied the game with 2 seconds left, to win the series 2-0. They'll face the Toronto Marlies in round 2 of the playoffs, which is a best-of-5 series. Nemec with 2 primary assists tonight, he is by far Uticas' best player. |

Ruff's coaching style is "we've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas". |

I like Schmid starting but the rest of the lineup was picked out of a hat so it's clearly a loss. |

Well…. We’re not dead yet! McLeod gonna tear it up! Wood gonna lay the wood and generate forecheck! Palat gonna grind and bang and generate chances and goals! Jack, Bratt, Meier, and Hischier gonna combine for 7 points, and Dougie gonna go 1g, 2a. Schmid with the mother(frank)n shutout.
Steal the momentum from the soulless Rags and take games 3 and 4. |

Nice of Lindy to figure out after two playoff losses who the worst players on the roster are instead of the regular season. |
