I'm cool with trash talking but at least make it a little inspired. I'd like to get a chuckle out of it instead of wondering if you passed high school or not. |

And your boy Timo didn’t cheap shot shesterkin in the crease I suppose. Keep drinking. The stupid juice - Bobd62
Uhh he got shoved by a ranger player into him...yeah what a cheap shot. How dare he not control the way he gets shoved. And even if he did deliberately fall on Igor on purpose. Good for him. Don't keep shoving the guy into your own goalie |

Ignore the idiot. Rangers would be rebuilding if half the team wasn’t gifted to them. |

Meier and Bratt close to connecting a couple of times. Hoping these two can find some offensive consistency together. |

Dougie! We have life! Still need to massively improve our 5v5 play though. 1 goal every ~10 periods isn't good enough. Hopefully this win gets the boys going |

Great shot by Dougie…best period was OT.

Overtime looked much more like the team we were this season. 5v5 play got bogged down because of the ridiculous amount of penalty calls.
Schmid giving us a huge game is great too. We needed a goaltending boost to keep us in this one for sure. |

Agree, I thought they played much more to their style in the OT. Very promising. Hope they can carry it to game 4. Definitely a big win! |

So glad I missed OT cuz I was painting my brothers room and the optimum app decided it didn’t wana stream abc anymore because it’s no longer “nhl hockey”. |

Totally agree, but I think they started to play their hockey late in the third.
It stinks being down two games because even playing much better, you can always lose on a bad bounce. But at least now they have a chance of making this a series. |

Good things are possible when you don’t play Wood or Smith, and have a heroic performance from Schmid.
Palat redeemed himself with a nice screen on the Hughes goal.
Don’t touch this lineup. They found their game together tonight… let it roll. |

It’s absolutely going to be tinkered with, he’s going to sit smith and wood down and show them the game tape and tell them that’s how he wants them to play. After that he’ll have them both out there for game 4. |

And one of them will take the dumbest penalty that’ll shift momentum and we lose 4-1 |

Like game 3 SCF’s against Kings? We were down 2 games to none but had a chance at coming back. But then a stupid penalty early in the game. I forget who it was but took the dumbest boarding penalty behind the net (one of our smaller forwards). Anyway that penalty basically sealed it for the Kings as I remember. Then again that was 11 years ago. Memory isn’t as good. Lol

Something that I've never noticed is how Meir has Tkachuk in him. Timo has that pest game in him. And he won't retaliate, he'll take the return hits to draw a penalty. And he throws his weight at everything. I wish we nabbed Wilson as well. No way Rangers would be able to handle two beasts like them. |

You’re thinking of game 6. The elimination game. The first ever boarding major in an elimination game for the finals (so I read somewhere). Thank you Bernier. Gave LA 5 minutes of a man advantage in which they’d go on to put us down 0-3 I think. Also don’t forget the borderline boarding.. or maybe interference.. that wasn’t called against LA just seconds before Bernier made the hit (not one of our smaller forwards lol).
So stupid. Stupid of Bernier; and completely insanely egregious and ridiculous to call a 5 minute major in a 0-0 must-win game in the Cup Finals. Pure insanity. Yes we should’ve killed it.. but can you fault any team for allowing a goal or 2 when you’re down a man for 5 whole minutes against the best team in the West?? Crazy for the ref to make that call. 5 minutes.. score as many as you can. Ridiculous. |

The refs jobbed us on the Bernier hit. I think it was Scuderi who turned back into the boards and got cut by his own visor making it an auto major. |

That’s right it was Scuderi. Ugh. Boarding is a major if blood? Not a double minor? |

At the time anything deemed a head or neck injury on a board upgraded a minor 2 to a major 5. So when he cut himself from his visor that was a head injury and it auto upgraded. The rule was applied correctly but I'll still believe he turned into the boards on the hit.
Now the rules are the refs can call a major boarding, then review it and either downgrade to a 2 or even take it away completely. This is what happened in the Leafs-Lightning game last night that was causing controversy. |
