Not sure how you're expected to win with Lazar and Wood both in the lineup. Just purposefully ruining our depth, especially when Haula isn't allowed to play 3rd line center since somebody is forced to take faceoffs for Hughes.

I dont think this team is coming back from 2-0 this time. Carolina is way faster than the rangers.

Yep, Canes are actually very good at 5v5 and not something we have the clear edge in. They're just better top to bottom, and their playstyle is excellent against us. Best forecheck/retrieval team in the league against the 28th ranked botched retrieval team. Too much for our D to overcome, bleeds into the rest of the game. Home ice might help a little, but i don't see us coming back from this.

It doesn't help our bottom six whenever on the ice is just instantly and permanently caved in.

If this keeps going then we might get Bratt and Timo signed for $10m combined

PK saying it best, if the Devils can manage the puck well and handle the Canes forecheck they'll be right where they want to be.

Definitely going to be the biggest challenge. Canes are the best forechecking team in the league, and we've seen our D struggle with breaking the puck out against heavy pressure at times. That could make or break this series.

Definitely breaking the series lmao. Brutal. Just put Luke in at this point, see if his skating can help alleviate a little pressure and help break the puck out easier. We're already getting caved, so it can't really make things worse.

Hughes has to play. And Sharangovich/Boqvist need to play over Lazar. Need more speed in there.

Other than that, we're totally getting out coached. It was better when you knew Gallant would just yell at his players to try harder and not actually change anything.

I’m not worried. These guys will bulk up as they get older. All that pasta eventually just stays in the body. Trust me….I know from experience.
