Great to see everyone healthy. Also, love the depth headed into what will be a tough 1st series matchup, and hopefully, a deep playoff run.

As it should be. People calling for Luke to start are wild. Some even want him to start over Severson lol. Only 2 nhl games experience lol, at a position that often takes years to develop. Zero AHL or AHL playoffs experience.. just 2 years of college, and people wanna play this kid against the very best players in the world.. competing as hard as they can in the playoffs. You’re just asking for mistakes to be made. Bahl has experience in the minors. Bahl has had time to develop. Bahl has played a good chunk of this season and proven to be solid. But nah, let’s throw in the greenest rookie at the most important skating position.

I don’t hate having him or Smith as 7 and 8 options if we have injuries, but I really don’t wana have injuries. Is Bahl miles above Luke? No, but he could be 1 less turnover away from losing a close series.

I personally love having Luke as an option later in the series as opposed to Game 1. Should we go down or are in desperate need of a spark, inserting Luke into the lineup later on could provide a nice jump for the boys if things have been tough sledding.

Bahl is also a giant.

You won't catch me saying he's going to provide shut down defense anytime soon, but if we do find ourselves down later in the series and we're struggling to produce offense because we're getting goalied by Igor, I'd think it's logical to give him a look.

Teams have always had to implement minor shake ups at appropriate times throughout a series in order to stay alive and I'd bet many, if not all of them, wish they had a Luke Hughes in reserve for that exact moment. That said, you're point is certainly valid in that he could let up some rushes as well, but if you're down late in a series, it's certainly not Luke's fault at that point anyway.

Actually im pumped for the playoffs. Very grateful for this season. Just hoping we can get a blog again that writes up before each game. I have nothing bad to say about Sam just want somewhere to talk to like wise Devils fans.
