not a Hextall bashing post, he had little to do with this, but found this gem on NHL.com in article concerning Pens missing playoffs: The Penguins have gotten 13 games out of their 36 draft picks since 2016.

Hope Briere is realizing this is not a retool its a tear down to the ground and build back up the right way thru the draft and then sign vets once you have your core players. Take offers on any and all players Hart included and any defenseman. Hold salary make the trades worthwhile to other teams and stockpile picks. And for the love of god draft RHD so tired of this team forgetting about this for 30 years running now. I look at the Kings and drool at their D prospects.

Hayes still need two points to set a new career high. Can he get there in his last game for the Flyers?

The Flyers are locked into the 7th spot in the draft, so this game has little meaning. I hope Frost hits 20 goals? Hopefully Hayes looks great in the final game and some GM decides to trade for him. Let's hope Briere can make some good moves this off season. He can't possibly be worse than Chuckles.....

On a happy note: The Pens spent all of that money on Malkin, Letang, etc and they still missed the playoffs and will now get a crumby draft pick.

You ain’t kidding.

Anyone bashing hextall is obviously a younger flyer fan. One thing I can guarantee when hextall became gm he wanted nothing but the best for the flyers. He hasn’t failed in Pittsburg he became gm when the core has become old.
